AboutUL Fragrance Team: 

We provide independent fragrance expertise into project teams, to translate the needs of the project (brand/variant proposition and consumer benefits) into fragrance to ensureitmeets both brand values and consumer expectations. To do sowe use knowledge of cluster & consumer preference, Brandunderstandingandtechnical performance expertise.  

Fragrance can determine whether a consumer re-purchases a product, as it’s one of the main carriersof emotion connecting consumer to a product experience.   

The way a product smells should support its proposition, conceptandapplication. Fragrance is therefore an integral part of the product and brand experience. We would argue it can make or break a product! 

We are constantly monitoring new trends andopportunities andcreating a ‘bank’ of fragrances that would work for our products and our cost targets. This proactive part of what we do feeds into the innovation projects and is where we can add most value and competitive advantage to the business.  

What we are envisaging thefragrance managerrole to deliver: 

Fragrance Development and Management is at the core of the job, working in close collaboration with therest of theFragrance Capability team, R&D teams, CTI, Brand Teams and Fragrance Houses to deliver superior fragrancesolutionsin line with the consumer insights and opportunities identified for the market, validated through consumer and performance technical testing. 

Key objectives:

1)Rexona Brand Fragrance Manager wouldtake accountability todevelop and managethe totality of consumer fragrance delivery for thebrand:

Fragrance Oils 

Fragrance Technology

Fragrance x Base Interaction

To create winning consumer brand fragrance experiences, supported with consumertest resultswithhigh regard for the cost efficiency of fragrance solutions. 

2)Supportingthe developmentofBrand Fragrance StrategyforRexona and Rexona Menand bringing it to lifethrough the portfolio management and development of longer-term library

3)Bringing Rexonaconsumer olfactive andcategory insightsto lifeto brand and R&D teamsusing fragrancemarket analysis, CTI and CMIresults and consumer observation tools. 

4)LeadingFragrance Technology Workstream for Rexonatogether with Smell Great Platform, CTI and R&D teams.

What we are looking in the candidate profile: 

  • Knowledge of the fragrance business and fragrance industry.
  • Knowledge of the fragrance technical background & fragrance x base interaction. 
  • Drive and passion for fragrance consumer development. 
  • Ability to deliver fragrance expertise to wide audiences. 
  • Digitally advanced to utilise and help further develop fragrance interactive platforms.
  • Systems thinking.
