UK & Ireland Finance Analyst (Part Time)

Working Schedule: 50-60%, (Part Time)

Unilever spends a significant amount (E850m/annum) in logistics in Europe. The Deliver Team deals with >700 vendors on inbound-, primary- and secondary transport. It is responsible to get the best possible transport organised into >50 factories, close to 90 warehouses and >30.000 customer locations, shipping close to 10 million pallets a year.
The Deliver Finance Analyst is located in a country and is in charge of the local and day-to-day support to the Logistics team and the other supply chain teams when relevant. This role provides an unique opportunity to liaise with external 3rd party logistics (3PL) providers and coaching/support of 3PL finance teams.

Based in Port Sunlight (or UK agile) reporting to the UKI Global Tax Management (GTM) Finance Manager, the role of the Deliver Finance Analyst is:
Support the local logistics operations team, by identifying and ensure timely implementation of value interventions and savings delivery FP&A of logistics performance, ensuring accuracy in monthly results, he/she will be powered by a shared services teams on main accounting, controlling and reporting tasks Aiding decision-making support, by supporting the strategic direction of UKI logistics and business case support.
Extended Multi Country Organisation (MCO) logistics team
Supply Chain Finance Services (Kato Hub)
Other SC teams where relevant (e.g. customer service, planning)
Central Supply Chain Finance Team (Deliver) in Rotterdam
Ultralogistic (Transport) finance team in Katowice
MSO local finance team
Is responsible for collecting and controlling the country logistic cost elements for the Business Plan and monthly forecast: warehousing cost, pallets costs, Multiple Store Owners (MSO) specific logistic cost
Discuss and agrees the budget elements with the Cluster GTM Finance/Local logistic team for further use by UEBV
By delegation of the Cluster GTM Finance manager, provides business partnering to the country logistics teams
Supports local logistics strategy and local projects
Reviews and challenges monthly accruals when necessary – Monthly accruals are provided by the Supply Chain Finance Services team in Katowice
Provides support to logistics teams and central teams for P2P process
Provides business partnering to country SC Director (SC Indirects, local projects)
Responsible for site in-year financial performance (cost/waste/capex), final creation and sign off of site forecast.
He/she creates and follows up the business cases for the key initiatives, including supporting the local network design projects and the definition of the geography long-term strategy.
Team development: Puts significant effort in the development of the team and in the creation of a performance and continuous improvement culture across the business partners. Ensures a strong link with the extended teams (MCO team plus Kato Ultra logistics and SC FS)
Business acumen: candidate has a natural passion for operations design and business results.
Controlling fundamentals: he/she has a deep understanding of Unilever P&L and has experience with the relevant controlling processes. He/she rapidly absorbs new information, knowledge and applies new techniques, technology and procedures.
Communication skills: able to present effectively to different teams, and to flex the communication style depending on the audience.
Accountability & Responsibility: able to keep people accountable and to influence the implementation of the agreed action plans.
Networking skills: able to work remotely with numerous stakeholders and to develop with them collaborative relationships.
ALL ABOUT YOU
Professional finance qualification equivalent to CA, CIMA, ACCA.
Previous experience in business partnering roles.
Experience in a sourcing unit
Excellent analytical and communication skills (in English)
