Your Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious assistant brand manager tobe a member ofthe Elida Beauty Marketing Team.
This role requires working with multiple partners,includingour Digital Hub,along with functions across the widerteam – we are all re-founders on this exciting new adventure.
Exciting and fast-paced,this will be a busy and dynamic environment whereyou will be expected toworkcollectively with others across the businessto unlock the power of our brands for both consumers and the customer.This is a wide encompassing rolethat spans the full marketingspectrum,with the brand teams owning everything from brand positioning and strategy, communication and campaign development, audience definition and media planning through toin-market activationand retailer sell in.A passion for consumer understanding will be key,as we seek tolead categories with emotionally connecting communication andinsightfulfunctional product performance.
While you will directly support a brand manager, our approach is‘allhandsondeck’, with plenty of opportunities to hone your marketing skills by havingownership overdifferent types ofprojectsand initiatives.Themarketingteam will need to workparticularlyclosely with commercial teamsto balance the need for short term growthanddeliveringagainst forecasts,with longer term strategic thinkingthat drives our leadership in the categories we operate in.
Your Key Responsibilities
Working closely with the brand manager you will be responsible for the delivery of all brand planning, communication,and activation.
Responsibilities will include…
Brand Strategy and Positioning:Working with our strategic creative partners to ensure thateach brand has a clear purpose, vision, and personality.We need to ensure that each brand occupies a distinct positioning both within the portfolio andrelative to the competitive set. This will require a clear set of brand guidelines to ensure consistency in execution.
Insightinto Action:Togetherwith the consumer and insight manager, you will needto identifyclear pain points and tensions that consumers facetoboth fuel comms planning, andfeed into the innovation team forNPD.Curiosity will drive you to assess a range of potential data sourcesrangingfrom,traditional research, to social listening via our digital hub, or analysis of data points.A passion for getting under the skin of consumers interactions with brands and products will be essential.
Audience and Communication Strategy:Workingclosely with media and digital hub partnersyou willcreate detailed portraits of our target audience including passion points, media habits and digital behavior.In creatingand refininguserpersonasyou will assist the brand manager todirectmedia strategies andcommschannel plansset against clear marketing and communication objectivesand defineddigitaluser journeys.
Campaign Development and Activation:Gathering insights from a range of sources, including retailer and commercial inputs, you will work with the digital hub to create engaging and cut through campaigns, activationsand creative assets that bring brand purpose and personality to life.
Forecasting,Performance and Analytics:Together with the consumer insight manager you will ensurethat all brand activity is measurable, tracked and that learnings are put into action.You will also assist the brand manager in pulling togetherbrand marketinginvestmentforecastslinked to retailer plans, as well as creatingbusiness casesfor new opportunities.
RetailerPlanning andActivation:Workingtogether withshopper marketing, consumer insight and commercial teams you will ensure that brand plans areconsidering, incorporating,and delivering against retailer feedback and strategy to ensure brilliant in-store and eCommerceexecution.This will include thinking through NPD sell in and how this contributes to the wider category.
We are looking forteam players who bring…
2+ years of experience working in marketing roles delivering experience in consumer understanding, communication and/orretailer/eCommerceinteractions.
A base(but not expert)understanding of the importance of consumer insight and how this translates intomarketing planning and execution.You will have plenty of opportunities to develop these skills further in the type of work you will be asked to do.
Provenexperience of prioritizingand organizingworkacross projectsin a busy, dynamic working environment.
Sound understanding of the digital landscapewithdetailed knowledge of social mediaand/or searchplanning, buying and measurement an advantage.
Evidence of analytical skills in reviewing data and pulling out key insights.
Baseunderstanding of how the P&L is structured, along with the ability to interpret and action marketing plans against financial data.
Experience working on beauty or personal care brands will be an advantage but not a necessity.
