Your Role & Key Responsibilities

The purpose of the role is to assist the Key Account Manager in developing and implementing a plan per selected customer. 

Key responsibilities include the following:   

  • Assist the Key Account Manager in the development of strategy and account plans for selected customers

  • Follow-up of product listings with selected customers so that growth initiatives can be implemented at Field level

  • Build strong and progressive relationships through all levels with selected customers

  • The ability to turn insight into innovation through new business development, translate latest trends and customers needs into opportunities that deliver growth.

  • Activate growth plans within the customer's organization, includingassortment and promo negotiation, merchandisingoptimisation andin store activation plan.

  • Pilot budget such as promo and trademedia investment

  • Tracking/measuring the success of growth initiatives (launches and promotions/activations) 

  • Monitor and report sales performance bycustomer

  • Liaise with field based (push and pull) team to convert targeted opportunities. 

Skills and Experience 

Educational Background:

  • Degree or Diploma, preferably in sales and marketing.  

  • At least 5 years of working experience in Sales & Marketing of which 2 in a CDrole

  • Relevant experience within field Sales

  • Strategy

  • Customer Services

  • Collaboration and Relationships

  • B2B experience – Beauty and Personal Care

  • CCD / Shopper Marketing Experience

  • Experience within the beauty and personal care arena  

Professional Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

  • Functional and technical knowledge

  • Sales: Strong communication and negotiation skills 

  • Communication skills

  • Problem solving skills

  • Responsibility and Accountability 

  • Digital marketing/ demand creation – EG: Running online digital campaigns.
