MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

For Unilever to remain competitive in the future, the business needs to continue its path to become data intelligent. The Data and Analytics team is responsible for building data, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the business become data intelligent and drive business and organization performance. The team will deliver advanced products at scale and work closely with the market teams to ensure that decisions in Unilever are augmented with insight & recommendations wherever possible.

Global Analytics Platform team aims to unlock the full potential of Data & Analytics capabilities in Unilever through easy-to-access, joined-up user journeys across products delivering a personalized and best in class user experience.

We are currently seeking a talented Assistant Manager/Platform SME (Asst. Product Manager - Global Analytics Platform) to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with products & markets to implement the Global Analytics Platform strategy and be pivotal in the design and setup, onboarding markets/products to the platform as required, steady state and play a significant role in future evolution of the platform. This will be a hands-on position with a 25/75 split between management and carrying out the roles and responsibilities as detailed.


Team management:

  • Coordinate and manage teams/3rd parties as applicable

  • Interface within the team with User Experience managers and GAP Engagement Teams to provide a 360-degree offering to the markets and products.

Stakeholder management:

  • Communicate clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization

  • Present the Global Analytics Proposition and help create the brand value around the same in the markets/stakeholder groups

  • Communicate with users to understand their business goals, objectives, pain points and outcomes

  • Analyse user feedback and activity, and iterate to enhance the overall platform user experience

JOB SUMMARY

  • Platform Setup - Work closely and coordinate with various teams (Technology Services, Enterprise computing, Technical Design Architecture, Landscape, Infosec etc.) to successfully implement the platform setup. This role is a key contributor in the design and delivery of platform – right from hypothesis forming, functional & non-functional requirements & finalization to delivery

  • Platform Evolution – This role is responsible for introduction of new features, tailoring and tweaking features to match Unilever Standards and recommendations, & the implementation and testing of the same along with prioritization for delivery.

  • Partner internally and align with Engagement team to align timelines for deliveries and prioritization

  • Own the activities related to Keeping the Environment Current including the below:

- Updates, Upgrades, patching, compliance to Unilever standards

  • Planning and Implementation of Feature releases

  • Lead Platform Scale-outs to new markets /products

  • Anchors platform demos, trainings in the market & various product groups

  • Assist and play active role in requirements finalization and Delivery/Onboarding plan Lock-in

  • Collaborates internally and works with identified stakeholders to create joined-up user journeys and ensures best in class User experience is delivered to business

  • Governance with Markets & Product Leads.

  • Should also be able to govern vendor resources to resolve escalations, measure their performance and coordinate any improvements required

  • Works closely with lead managers and LT for driving up the platform usage and penetration

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • 5 to 7years of experience in IT with relevant experience in Data & Analytics

  • Working with varied business owners / product owners to align plans and deliverables

  • Working with varied IT teams to resolve dependencies and impediments

  • Familiarity with Agile methodology, JIRA, Teams, Sharepoint

  • Desirable: Cloud based applications, UEx centric, Power BI, MS Azure, SQL,

  • Working experience in Data Analytics and Information products

  • Familiarity with Unilever Processes and various teams involved in the lifecycle of a product/platform

  • Appreciation of Data Visualization concepts

  • Gathering requirements
