We are looking to hirean Assistant Manager,Business Analystbased in Bangalore.

Main Purpose of the role:

  • The Business Analyst supports the Engagement Leads & Product Managers to understand the business’s requirements. They lead the development of the business requirements documents for squads to understand the business’s needs, as well as acting as a key interface between business SMEs and the D&A squad members.

  • The is a hands-on role meant to provide the product & data expertise for our key Analytics Program, engage with market champions, delivering product road map, Internal/External data alignment, Product Testing & assure that the data quality is in line with business requirements. The role will work across various internal teams like Solution Factory, Market Teams, DataCoEteams to deliver a high usage product & best in class experience for business to drive analytics culture in Unilever.

Job Summary:

  • Champion the flagship Country Cluster Business Team Analytics Product in key markets driving up the penetration among users and increasing the consumption of the product.

  • Land New cutting-edge innovations that are user centricso as toenhance the product adoption with evolving business needs

  • Enable decommission of alternates in markets positioning this flagship product as the natural single source of facts and business needs for Country Cluster Business teams

  • Interface with the business champions to understand and capture the high-level business requirements & documents through the data-discovery process for markets

  • Further develop detailed business requirements to feed into design work working with Jira platforms to ensure requirements are firmly illustrated to tech delivery teams

  • Own the product SLA & OTIF, working in partnership with Solution Factory teams and bridging the connect between Service Delivery & Business Champions

  • Cost management & tracking associated with new product functionalities and product enhancements change requests.

  • Work with the business/ Solution Factory to ensure DevOps requests are appropriately managed, budgeted and delivered

  • Act on the user feedbacks on product & derive constant enhancements to the product managing cost efficiencies & finding ways to deliver at low costs

  • Represent product in Agile/Scrum delivery processes for the Analytics Platform / Solution factory during design and build processes

  • Maintainconsistency acrossGoldstandard KPIs, maintain catalogue of local KPIs / logic and drive catalogue development & manage Governance on the same

  • Work with the Product Managers & Engagement Leads to develop business cases to support the business in raising investment for D&A solution delivery

  • Support Key users / Super users as an SME for Functionality enhancements / User adoption activities – like Trainings, Custom business insights, support in product activation, NPS surveys etc

  • Identify opportunities to apply diagnostic insights to data. Use recognized data analysis & visualization techniques to make sense of data in a way that helps the markets to discover useful information to improve the overall business objectives and performance

Works as an embedded part of the Analytics products team to build out the product roadmap delivery of existing market template. This role will require an understanding of the Performance management process and how Country Cluster BusinessTeams  aredriving business outcomes.  

Key Requirements:


The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded commercial and analytics professional. They will have a deep knowledge of operations and the value chain in a consumer goods company, that is complemented by application of data management, data strategy or business information intelligence, and emerging technologies required to deliver a world class data service.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in CPG with an understanding of Business Analytics and functional understanding across Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Media domains

  • Strong track record of working with Senior business stakeholders (Leads, Directors and Senior LT) to drive definition, alignment, and support for application of analytics and data to address complex business issues

  • In-depth expertise on Data ecosystems and knowledge on legacy source systems

  • Deep understanding of Data and integration in the Data Lifecycle management

  • Ability to rapidly connect + match analytics and data products to business needs

  • Familiar with Data science techniques and Microsoft Azure, Power BI, NLP tools, DataModeling

  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a highly VUCA and competitive market

  • Passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data

  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative insights in a precise, and actionable manner

  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment
