Roles & Responsibilities:
The Marketing Innovation Manager includes the following duties and responsibilities, but additional requirements may be assigned as needed.
Working with Head of Innovation US & Asia New Markets, this role helps create new product platforms for the global Ben & Jerry’s business with a focus on the US. This includes project leader responsibilities with global cross-functional teams in the development of new products with a consumer-first mindset; taking projects from concept to productionwith input into related activities including business analysis, channel development and marketing and trade programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
·Execute global new product initiatives in partnership with Marketing, Supply Chain, and R&D that fulfil company strategies, support the social mission, and meet financial objectives for sales, gross margin and profitability.
·Lead projects cross-departmentally to ensure that key milestones are met and goals achieved. Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management.
·Collaborate with Consumer Marketing Research in primary consumer research, leading the development of consumer stimulus. Drive secondary research for trend reporting. Utilize results in planning efforts.
·Work with an agile mindset to move projects through decision gates by communicating decision moments and complexities with senior leaders.
·Work closely with Design on execution of new product packaging and artwork for product concepts.
·Manage the successful transition of new products to the local Brand teams according to specified criteria & timing.
·Support Brand teams in the planning of both short and long-term business and marketing initiatives and deliver insights to help with internal and external sell-in
·Exhibit commitment to the brand's social mission and Marketing's vital role in delivering all three elements of Ben & Jerry's three-part mission statement. Work with the Social Mission team to integrate the social mission into individual marketing plans.

·Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field; MBA preferred
·A minimum of 4-6 years in Marketing, with some experience in Product Innovation
·Proven ability as a creative and innovative thinker with demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and leadership
·Must possess strong project management skills with some experience using agile ways of working preferred
·Ability to balance the art & science of marketing – ability to think creatively and strategically, with strong business mindset
·Exhibit a strong bias for action and accountability for both self and others
·A love for food and ice cream is highly desirable
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Proficiency with using and interpreting IRI (or similar syndicated data) is a plus
·Computer proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
·Office environment, some repetitive motion required
·Some travel is expected approximately 20% of the time
