In order for change or new IT solutions to be 0% disturbance to business, robust testing process is of utmost important. Core ERP Testing services caters to the Regression and Performance Testing requirements of platforms like Core ERPs. Core ERP Testing Services has deployed different Testing Tools such as HPQC, CBTA, HPPC etc. for Regression testing and Performance testing.
Main job purpose:
You will be an SME responsible for landing successfully all regression and performance testing requirements across platforms. This involves managing the Vendor Partner teams on the actual delivery of testing requirements with in the agreed timeline. SME is responsible to engage with platform SME to finalize and align on the testing deliverables and key success criteria with regard to testing requirement. The testing service is managed as dev/Ops model. In addition to delivery of testing requirement from platforms, testing framework need to be built as per the requirement from the respective platform SME as a new capability. Testing SME is expected to ensure testing framework is in line with Unilever standards. This job involves engagement with different stake holders across core ERP platforms and other platform with respect to testing requirements. Testing SME’s key deliverables include Owning Test Strategy, Ensuring accelerated test execution including identifying/driving test automation, innovation in ensuring maximum test coverage, ownership of quality delivered into production associated with Regression and Performance testing, testing requirements delivery in key IT initiatives for projects such as Accelerated Cloud Migration (ACM), Testing automation of GTS, HANACHI Systems, Core ERP KEC activities etc. SME is responsible to ensure maximum testing scenarios are carried in standard framework and repository of documentations are in place.
Engagement with platform SMEs, Engagement with Key Stake holders of important IT initiatives where testing plays a key role, Engaging and collaborating with Vendor partner teams and product Vendor teams.
o SME is expected to have project management skills required to delivery new automated testing capability for different platform as the new capabilities come time to time. Deliver projects in line with Dev/Ops model. Expected to follow other agile project methodology as Unilever standards.
Service Ownership and Management:
o Responsible for onboarding Testing capabilities services.
o Responsible for ensuring maintenance of repository testing related documents in the respective tool
o Follow a structured audit process to have +ve assurance to ensure testing framework and documentation are in place
o Maintain a pipe line of activities in the respective area and coverage of resources for the pipeline of activities
o Put in process and methodology to maintain various statistics to provide to Senior Management whenever asked.
o Ensure all the testing activities are run in automated and person dependent manner to the extent possible.
o Work with Service Partners and Vendors to ensure Statements of Work (SOW) are created and submitted in line with Unilever process. Understand the cost management of testing activities. Principles of cross charging. Ensure All costs incurred as part of testing are cross charged to respective platforms.
Communication and Reporting:
o Working with Lead Managers and SMEs of platforms. Conducting periodical review call on the testing delivery with respective platforms.
o Occasional Director level engagement to update the delivery and key initiatives
Essential Experience / Skills
1. Understanding & know-hows testing process, test automation tools like CBTA, BPCA, Decesoft, HP Quality Centre, UFT, HP Performance Centre works.
2. Strong vendor management skills and experience is a must –
3. Out of the box thinking in solutioning Resilience
4. Understanding of project support and its transition
5. In-depth understanding of test automation tools
6. Experience of managing multiple projects: Tasks, Risks and Stakeholder management skills
7. It will be an added advantage if the candidate has hands on or has functional knowledge in SAP ECC - MM, PP, QM, WM.
