Unilever Logistics Procurement Transportation is embedded within the Supply Chain in a variety of places from inbound freightdelivering to ourmanufacturingsitesto thedelivery of finished goods toour customers. Unilever transportationspendis approximately$0.5B across more than 40 suppliers in the US and Canada in several modes of transportation including parcel, LTL (Less than Truckload), TL (truckload) and IMDL (Intermodal).
This role will have a focus on creating value to Unilever via a Total Cost of Ownership model whilst aligning to and influencing UASCC (Unilever Americas Supply Chain Company)strategies. You will work oncollaborative sourcing initiativeswith several internal stakeholders within the Control Tower. This role is responsible for NA supplier relationships that address commercial and operational endeavors.
As anAssistant Manager, will need to motivate current direct reports to achieve department goals, develop and achieve their career ambitions. Areas of exploration include but are not limited to growing strategic relationships, expanding IMDL, Digital Freight Matching and Dedicated Fleets, exploring new technologies such as autonomous and electric vehicles and other logistics innovations. As a Leader within Procurement, this role is visible to other leaders within the organization with heavy focus on Logistics Operations and Finance as well as other key Supply Chain departments. This role provides the employee exposure to the US Economy as sourcing strategies take into consideration the entire transportation market which is nearly $1.5T in spend representing about 8% of the US GDP and employees about 7.4% of the population.

What You’ll NeedToSucceed
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
- 4+ of prior supply chain and/or procurement experience
- People management skills with emphasis on listening
- Advanced computer skillswith emphasis on Data Science
- A strong command of the English language – both written and spoken – with an ability to convey often complex data to a variety ofaudiences
- A tenaciouscommitment to solvingchallenges
- Proven abilities inStakeholder Management
- Thinker, challenger; somebody who would not acceptstatus quo
