Background & Purpose of the Job

The Process Engineer role is critical to the development of our factoriesto World Class, which means zero defects, zero waste and zero losses.She/he will apply extensively the full range ofFocusedand QualityImprovement methods and tools to counter losses identified in the areasof Safety, Quality, CostDeployment, Customer Service and Logistics.The Cost Deployment pillar will be populated with data built up throughapplication of the Managing Manufacturing Performance Code, which is

key to ensuring focus on key losses.Working directly with the line crewson a daily basisthe Process Engineeralso acts as the technical trainer for line teams and provides coaching in

phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment ofcountermeasures.

The Process Engineer is responsible for the validation of all processimprovements and the establishment of revised basic conditions on theline. A core deliverable istoeliminate losses and waste and increase thestability of the line to support the transition of traditional line teams tosemi-autonomous teams.

Engineering.Apply technical engineering skills (Mechanical, Chemical orElectrical) to do practical problem solvingand lead improvement projects.

WCM.Apply the full set of WCM methods and tools to identify root causes, define

countermeasures and validate their effectiveness; mastery of AM, PM, FI, QCand Logistics methods and tools. Establish standards to support line operatorssustain new basic conditions.

Process andOrganizationalDesign.Leverage technical knowledge and asystems approach to ensure factory lines and processes are optimally resourced

Analytical capability.Collect andanalyzecomplex data to penetrate problems’phenomena and understand root causes.

What You’ll NeedToSucceed

  • At least2+ year of experience inContinuousImprovement Methodologies (TPM, WCMor Lean)

  • Problem solving skills and good understanding of root cause analysis

  • Ability to leadand implementprojects up to $1million

  •  B.S. /B.A. innuclear/chemical/industrial/mechanical/electricalengineering and/or other related technical discipline
