Business context and main purpose of the job:

This role is a great opportunity for those who want to develop strong business acumen and understand all commercial levers leading to successful FMCG e-Commerce sales

It’s a great starting point to become a real all-round commercial multitasker and you’ll have the chance to improve your analytical capabilities, your logical thinking, negotiation- and interpersonal communication skills. At the same time, you’ll be exposed to many other aspects of the FMCG industry and Unilever. You’ll touch upon the power of strong customer relationships, trade marketing, e-merchandiser skills, financial knowledge and you’ll interact with both key accounts, category managers and marketeers.

We are looking to recruit a full-time professional. The job is based in Brussels and 0-5% travel is foreseen.

As an Account Manager e-Commerce Omnichannel you will be responsible for driving online growth with our top grocery & drug retailers. Your main role is to co-create and implement customer E-joint business plans that deliver market-share and category growth in the digital space ahead of the competition and this in close collaboration with the wider e-Commerce and sales teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Co-create strong e-joint Business plans, that deliver a triple win: for the shopper, for the retailer and for Unilever.

  • Develop strong relationships with the e-commerce teams at customer side. to execute the strategy in the e-Joint Business Plans

  • Pro-active performance management (Focus on topline growth and ROI)

  • Set up, improve and evaluate scorecards with grocery retailers to track the market share and evolution of E-Joint Business Plans in each category

  • Provide knowledge and recommendation both to the retailers as the Unilever teams across all categories

  • Support in the commercial activation of our brands in the channel, by building a promotional & activation strategy which incorporates the objectives of the brands and categories

  • Ensuring premium online presence at both grocery.com and pureplayers, by actively managing keyword Lists, online content and images.

  • Hands-on mentality, not afraid to tackle administrative tasks in order to develop your accounts

  • Able to work in a challenging fast paced environment

  • Creative thinking

Who are you?

  • Ideally 3 years working experience in a commercial role, preferably in an e-commerce environment

  • You understand the drivers for success in consumer goods e-Commerce and have demonstrated understanding of eCommerce and the underlying commercial levers

  • You have strong analytical skills with strong knowledge of Excel

  • You have very good communications skills: oral presentations, negotiations

  • Strong commands of English, in addition to good level of Dutch and/or French both oral and written

  • You are enthusiastic, take initiative and have perseverance

  • You are a team player with very good social skills
