Our Unilever Home Care South East Europe business unit is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager for our Home & Hygiene category, to cover for a maternity leave in one of the most critical roles in our team. We need someone with passion for driving healthy business growth and the ability to lead, motivate and develop their team. They will need exceptional business acumen, strong decision-making & flexibility with proven communication skills. Even though only a temporary contract can be offered, this is an opportunity to make an impact in a local FMCG powerhouse and a high-speed personal development lane with potential future opportunities.

Main Purpose of the Job

The job holder leads category & brand strategy for the Home & Hygiene category in South East Europe and is responsible to articulate and execute holistic brand marketing plans (for brands such as Klinex and Cif), to ultimately deliver financial & market objectives. 

Main Accountabilities

  • Leads the Integrated Business Planning process (IBP) for categories of responsibility:  insight generation, priorities & objectives definition, supporting the Brand Marketing Plan. 
  • Oversees the execution of the Brand Marketing Plan: 
  • Overall portfolio (incl. innovation) plans. 
  • Media and promotional strategy, based on continuous understanding of market and competitive context. 
  • Implementation of a proper product, price, place & promotion mix, to achieve market and financial objectives.
  • Continuously control the forecast & adjust the plan in response to changing conditions and priorities. 
  • Develops thorough understanding of the market, the competition, the consumer, our brand health & attributes. By analyzing all available data (consumer studies, tracking data etc.). 
  • Identifies & develops cases for new business opportunities - working with local and international cross-functional partners & communities
  • Coordinates the East Europe & DACH Living Hygiene platform, works with Global Brand teams, and understands regional priorities to positively affect the local business.
  • Co-leads the monthly S&OP process, responsible for annual projections & any necessary remediation actions (i.e. promotional activities, pricing actions, innovation delivery, marketing investments etc.).  
  • Leads and coaches a talented team to achieve individual development plans in line with business priorities.

Skills – Experiences - Qualifications:

  • +5 years of experience in marketing with similar scope of responsibilities
  • Basic commercial understanding is required and proven experience in commercial roles will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong experience in Media management (Traditional and Digital), consumer & shopper activation campaigns & product development.
  • Strong communication skills, collaborative, international mindset.
  • Business ownership with self-drive to deliver results.
  • Strong analytical & strategic skills with solid financial understanding.
  • Consumer & Shopper orientation.  
  • Postgraduate degree, preferably in Marketing or MBA.
  • Fluent in English.
  • High literacy in PC use (MS Office).
