Background & Purpose of the Job:

We are looking to employ a driven and detail-oriented Business Development Specialist to identify business growth opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales within frozen food category. The business development specialist's responsibilities include developing an in-depth knowledge of company products & pricing strategies and improving existing sales proposals. His/her primary goal is to increase revenue and maximise profits. A Business Development Specialist identifies viable business opportunities, closes partnership deals and promotes the business’ products.

To be successful as a business development specialist, you should possess a combination of business management, financial analysis and marketing skills. You should be adept at negotiating business deals, can work in a fast-paced environment, have strong business acumen as well as demonstrate excellent management, communication, and analytical skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, marketing, or related field.
  • Ability to work both independently, to take responsibility for actions, and to collaborate as part of a team
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability for problem solving and decision making
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Project management skills
  • Research and analysis skills
  • Fluent in English
  • MS Office suite
  • Driving license category B

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers
  • Conduct periodic market analysis to identify new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal company stakeholders to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities
  • Meet with potential partners and negotiate business deals
  • Analyse sales data and develop effective strategies
  • Prepare customer presentations and materials, including PowerPoint and sales displays
