Background & Purpose of the Job:
The Supply Chain Planning Team Leader will coordinate a team of planners ensuring the execution of all planning activities and projects (incl. innovation, portfolio, repacking, obsolete) on certain product category with full accountability for the sales forecast, customer service, stock availability and optimal inventory level.
Represents SC function in the business team, also coordinating end-to-end supply chain projects relevant for allocate business unit.
Previous relevant experience in supply and demand planning or other relevant supply chain functions of at least 5 years
Managerial experience is considered a plus
Clear understanding of general business (incl. P&L and cost drivers that are generating decision making)
Strong internal drive to deliver results
High negotiation skills
Strong Analytical ability; analyze complex data, identify issues, explain variances and recommend solutions -> problem solving profile
Ability to work both independently, to take responsibility for self & team’s actions and to collaborate as part of a team goals is required
Responsiveness, adaptation, and flexibility
Strategic influencing – stakeholder management and influencing
Fluent in English
MS Office suite, SAP or ERP experience
Role and Responsibilities:
Support business team by representing supply chain capability in key projects and activities, act as primary contact towards other functional leaders in the business team
Collect business assumptions, incorporate multiple information sources to create integrated volume demand plan (0-24 months) for his/her portfolio with full responsibility on S&OP process
Understand and record demand drivers, identifies risks and opportunities, including event planning (promotions, special packs, media, price change, store opening, competitor activity, trade stocks etc) and innovation planning (new product launch) for end goal of generation of consolidated unconstrained demand plan, identifying gaps/constraints and ensuring that corrective action is taken by related stakeholders
Drives forecast review meetings and document changes in assumptions and forecast
Manage perfect execution of all planning activities by continuously keeping contact with Brand Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sales, Category planning team and factories, including innovation forecast, production plan, run-out plan and obsoletes
Measure performance of the planning team (incl. Forecast Bias, Extreme Bias, Innovation Bias, Forecast Accuracy, Volume Volume Disconnect, Dispatch Rate, Obsolete/Remnant), ensure continuous improvement
