The Covington factory is a 24/7 high paced dynamic work environmentemploying 800 associates on site delivering ice cream to our consumers. We achievesuccessthrough collaborative cross functional teamsleading the delivery of products to our supply chain. The site’s rich history dates to 2001 and fosters a deep passion for delighting consumers throughthe iconic icecreambrandnames ofBreyers, Klondike, Good Humor,PopsicleandTalenti. Who You Are & What You’llDo
TheCell Leaderis criticalmember of the teamin our quest forWorld Class performance, which meanszero defects, zero waste and zero losses.Covington operates with cell structure where similar technology lines are grouped and managed together with a dedicated team. Cell Leader works as the owner of the cell and accountable for theoverall performance.World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is the umbrella program for continuous improvement in the site and within WCM, we apply 18-week sprints called Run to Standard (R2S) for each cell to define and restore standards and basic conditions, establish governance to sustain them,attack chronic losses with kaizen events, and capture learnings and know how to develop our people.
CellLeader runs the R2S sprints and ensure each part of the program is applied consistently with the cell team and coordinating with line and shift teams. Cell team consists of process engineer and focused technician in addition to the cell leader.CellLeader demonstrates servant leadership to increase engagement on the shop floor by making sure that the link with the big picture is well understood, people feel appreciatedand supported, and their contributions are properly measured.
Cell Leadercommunicates with the shift teamsand ensures all insights, improvements and learnings are implemented consistently with each shift crew and results are properly monitored. S/he supports training plan based on findings.
Your line manager will be the Manufacturing Manager for thearea/departmentwho reports to the Factory Director.

What You’ll NeedtoSucceed
BA/BS degree inpreferably in Engineering or equivalent work experience in manufacturing setting.
Must demonstrate a flairfor leading, coaching and developing people.
Attention to detail, bias for action, accountability, written and verbal communication skills, data collection and analysis, problem solving, decision-making, teamwork, andsoundjudgment.
Related experiencein change leadership and program/project management.
Hands-on experiencein kaizen activityand/or continuous improvement program (WCM, TPM, 6-sigma, Lean,etc) implementation in manufacturing environmentisa plus.
Must be able to work in a 24/7 factory environment, donning all necessary Personal ProtectiveEquipment. Essential functions include, but not limited towalking,sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and exposure to varying weather conditions.
