This posting represents multiple openings within our planning team based in our NA HQ Englewood Cliffs, NJ.

Our planning team leads the product logic savings agenda through portfolio and project management, ideation, and project execution. The Associate Managers support developing sound business cases to support category growth, savings delivery and service improvement following the USLP (Unilever Sustainable Living Program) principles and ensuring the optimal E2E (end to end) network design. They perform long term capacity planning, evaluate network constraints, identify improvement opportunities, review capex and technology needs, lead savings identification and implementation, complexity reduction initiatives, and strategic project scoping and execution—all towards driving Gross Margin and profit improvement.

Each Associate Manager partners with a factory (or factories) and a category (or categories) on these initiatives. They will determine the best portfolio of products to run at the respective site(s) while developing sound business cases to support category growth, savings delivery and ensuring the optimal E2E network design. In addition, they will manage sourcing change projects, evaluate network constraints (i.e. – materials), identify improvement opportunities, review capex and technology needs, identify complexity reduction initiatives, and strategic project scoping and execution—all towards an optimal network design and gross margin.

Planning works closely withBrand, Supply/Demand Planning, Factories, Finance, Procurement and R&D to deliver the category business targets. They also lead the charge on supply chain aspects of category strategies with the senior stakeholders in category leadership forums (CCBT) and across the supply chain. 

Who You Are and What You’ll Do

  • Lead the long term (+1yr to +3yrs) capacity planning for factories through supply chain modeling 

  • Drive the strategy forward by leading project delivery, coordination of ideation sessions, strong stakeholder management, and portfolio management. 

  • Monitor the progress on the achievement of the category KPIs in Gross Margin, service, working capital, supply chain material costs, etc. 

  • Project management and implementation of sourcing changes for assigned factories and categories

  • Brainstorm, develop, and lead project ideas, including business case analysis, defining capex, and cost savings for project execution through your partner teams (engineering, finance, etc.) 

  • Perform capacity modeling for ancillary supply chain network (materials, logistics, etc.) using optimization and analytical techniques 

  • Support complexity reduction and savings in product portfolio and overall network 

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in supply chain, logistics, engineering or other related field

  • 4+ years of relevant supply chain experience, preferably in operational planning, supply chain planning, logistics, manufacturing or SC Customer Service

  • A highly developed set of skills in quantification and analysis 

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to deliver complex information to a variety of audiences with impact 

  • Creative mindset with the ability to look at a problem with a number of different perspectives and ideas for a solution 

  • Knowledge of SAP planning (APO and O2C) systems 

  • Knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response tool a plus 

  • APICS involvement/certification a plus
