Category Management Lead – Elida Beauty
You will be responsible for defining the strategies of the categories Elida Beauty leads (Cotton) and competes in (Hair, Skin Cleansing, Skin Care). You will design, facilitate and implement Category Growth Strategies, processes and tools for our Sales team and our retail customers.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-going strategic recommendations to largest customers on the Cotton category where Elida Beauty is a leader
- Identify trends early, understand category performance drivers and dynamics, develop and deliver merchandising and assortment recommendations to drive category growth
- Partner with Sales Strategy Manager to determine role and prioritization of Elida Beauty brands within their respective categories; create and deliver compelling sales narrative across Cotton, Hair, Skin Cleansing and Skin Care rooted in data and insights
- Secure alignment around retail environment realities and category trends early in the innovation process, partnering with Marketing Managers
- Define the category growth learning agenda; prioritize and bridge largest gaps through research, working with the Insights Director
Competencies and experience:
- Planogram software management
- Proficient at shopping fundamentals and category management concepts
- Excellent oral and written skills for compelling story telling
- Analytical and data and insights interpreter
- Strategic approach to solving business issues or uncovering opportunities
- 6-10 years consumer product goods industry experience, with background in Category Management
- 3-5 Years of Customer Facing Experience and understanding of retailer merchandising dynamics in a Sales or Category Leadership role preferred
- Desire to work in a team environment and foster cross-functional support and learning
This role reports into the Heard of Sales Strategy & Operations and will partner with Sales, Sales Strategy, Business Operations and Marketing. You will interact with the Leadership team regularly.
