Background & Purpose of the Job

Consumer Technology has a crucial role to play in enabling Unilever’s data driven marketing strategy. The Consumer Technology Adoption team, within the UniOps organization, is responsible for providing consultancy on the use of technology for the digital component of Brand Marketing plans by providing day-to-day management, technical leadership, and direction across the projects in his/her portfolio (planning through implementation). The areas of concentration in program planning include support of brand web sites, digital campaigns, data capture, optimization and search. The position's main duties are to gain consensus on technology and process concepts, to build coalitions and to identify priorities to move technology and process improvement forward. This includes supporting the vision agreed for the business technology while supporting the brands objectives and working through challenges.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

This position is responsible for providing consultancy and advice on digital program planning, execution, and analysis for a group of brands in Unilever. You will vet external proposals from agencies or other third parties and provide advice to brands on UX best practice, Unilever standards, consumer privacy and security. This role will be responsible for program oversight and service delivery to the brands in coordination with other personnel, including vetting new capabilities and technologies, with the extended Digital Services team.

•          You’re a dot connector: A strong industry network and organizational awareness are required to harmonize services across functions and geographies.  This role is responsible for addressing all phases of service delivery including; functional requirements, operational design, analytics and support.

•          You’re a changemaker: This position actively monitors technology trends and regularly identifies new and emerging technology opportunities.  A proven track record of testing new ideas, technologies, and creative solutions is essential.

•          You’re a culture & change champion: Success is dependent upon fostering a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.  Strategic vision, leadership skills, digital experience, and project management skills are required.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

Key Skills and critical success Factors for the Job:  3-5 years business experience; Data Driven Marketing / Digital; Experience in Business Engagement / Business Partner roles; Experience managing projects involving website development, video, mobile sites, social media etc., of varying duration and complexity; Technical knowledge of web development, content management systems, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, responsive design, adobe, and mobile platforms - hands on experience a plus; Experience with facilitating projects involving such systems and web technologies; Understanding of digital media formats and specifications, various mobile devices and IOS versions, web browsers (current and previous versions); Thorough understanding of UX (user experience) concepts and strategies including latest web technologies and digital/e-commerce best practices; Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, DOMO) and SEO (search engine optimization); Experience or Knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud; Excellent team work and project management skills; Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills; Digital Agency experience a plus.
