JOB TITLE: Unilever International Assistant Business Development Manager – Japan Business Unit
JOB LOCATION: Hongkong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore

REPORTING:

The individual will report to the North Asia UI Business Unit Head.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will assist the North Asia BU lead to UI Japan BU across functions, the incumbent will execute end to end management of various business initiatives in country.

  • You will engage and interact with the marketing community across all BG to drive full alignment and engagement and craft UI’s role in the new Unilever BG/BU world.

  • The No.1 Responsibility for Japan Lead is to scale brands in market to become segment and channel leaders globally in key markets through developing RTM evolution for imported product.

  • You’ll drive end-to-end management of seeding initiatives and manage existing business within Japan and coordinate across multi-functional teams to bring projects to life and drive business growth.

  • Works closely with customers to implement the business plan. Works in close collaboration with the Category Team for the category input, and with customer marketing & brand teams for the specific banner/channel plan

YOU’LL WORK CLOSELY WITH:

  • UI Business Development, Finance, Supply Chain and Marketing teams

  • Global BG BU Marketing community

  • BG BU Marketing community in Unilever Japan

  • Key retailers and distributors

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Over 5 years’ experience in FMCG industry in building brands globally, driving Customer Operations, Customer Development and Trade Marketing

  • Perfect communication skill in Japanese – both read, write and conversational.

  • Have a deep understanding of Japanese Culture and way of business operations.

  • You are a maverick, you don’t take no for an answer, you pioneer and are consumer obsessed.

  • Strong network with customers and senior stakeholders in the Unilever business

  • Deeply collaborative and work and win with others.

  • Have attention to detail and have a passion for execution.

  • Be a strategic, highly adaptable, and entrepreneurial person.

  • Embrace a high growth mindset, with strong love for consumers, shoppers and customers.

  • Have excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.

  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

  • Have experience working and leading in cross-functional teams.
