Main Purpose of the Job:

The KSA market (€400m sales value) is uniquely positioned with a multi-category and multi-channel portfolio, highly accretive margins and a diverse consumer base. Unilever spends around €160m behind in-market activities in form of trade discounts, consumer promotions, in-store visibility and displays.

This role, working closely with the KSA Controller and CD Finance Manager will help in ensuring controls & checks over in-market spends by closely monitoring activities conducted in the market, counterparts received in return of incentives given to customers and investigation of any unplanned / unauthorized spends.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that only approved plans are executed in the market, any non-compliance is bought to the attention of senior leadership as soon as detected.

  • Perform regular checks on in-market spends through market visits, customer meetings, reviewing promotional plans and execution in market to ensure compliance versus approved promotion plans.

  • Maintain records of promotions communicated to customers, comparison of discount authorized by company versus announced by the customers and record the reasons for differences.

  • Be the point of contact & custodian for customer business development agreements, maintaining tracker for BDA agreements and regular follow-up/updates related to signing of BDA agreements.

  • Investigation of un-authorized spends and identifying reasons for such spends.

  • Work closely with Collections and Claims team to provide input for customer reconciliations.
