Background & Purpose of the Job

The role is a member of theJonesboroPlanning Team responsible for production scheduling.

The position is responsible for the weekly management & communication of theJonesbororequirements,planningand scheduling, while ensuring customer service and maintaining the predetermined finished goods & non-finished goods inventories. It is essential that this position functions within the scheduling department in such a way to optimize the overall network capabilities to ensure network goals for customer service, inventories, and cost.

As the Scheduler, the position will manage the factoryschedulingprocessbycoordinatingwith material planners,supply planners, supply management, finance, inventory control, and individual production departments within theJonesborofactory.

Activities include:

  • Operationalize production schedule by releasingproduction ordersand completing detailed daily schedule in APO

  • Optimizing production sequence

  • Coordinate with supply planners all change requests to production/planned order, highlighting risks and opportunities that will enable service delivery 

  • Participate in Run Strategy, capacity reviews and capability analysis

  • Work with production andManexteams to improve and reduce change over times through effective and efficient scheduling  

  • Work closely with go to market teams, engineering, R&D, operations, Supply Chain team, and suppliers to ensure delivery of new products.

  • Participate in innovation meetings, to drive insight and facilitate decision making 

  • Lead waste reduction initiatives around transitioning packs.Execute/publish/manage runouts for transitions/discontinued DUs

  • Act asliaison between all departments to ensure timely completion of specific tasks as they relate to respective projects/goals.

  • Update existingproduction relatedmaster data

  • Issue write-offsandupdate write off and disposal tracker

What You’ll NeedtoSucceed

  • Bachelor’s Degreepreferred,Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Planning, or related fields.

  • Preferred one to three years’ experience in manufacturing or in aplanningrole.

  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel macros) and Power BI preferred.

  • UnderstandingSupply andMaterial Planning principals (NTPP,MRP, Inventory Models) preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills used in preparing presentations and interaction with both internal and external customers. Ability to accurately interpret written and oral instructions and follow systematic instructions.

  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Interact effectively with all levels including other Unilever sites, Supply Chain Planning, manufacturing personnel. Motivate, energize, and foster team activities and relationships. Ability to resolve conflict.

  • Strong analytical skills
