Your Role:

The Market Unit Quality Lead BSPAN works in a Market Unit (mutli-country) Organization and reports to the Global Head of Quality in ekaterra.

The role provides support in all aspects of Quality Management, like standard setting and enforcing, program definition, compliance checking and reporting for BSPAN Market Unit.
The role works within the BSPAN SC team for ekaterra and is part of the global Quality team, consisting of the Quality Leads in Markets where ekaterra owns the route to market.
The role is focused on quality in the market operations,  implementing, executing, improving, ensuring and  providing technical quality support to assembling operations, repacking operations, customers, for Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, regulatory compliance, care line support and incident management.
The role monitor and processes quality data and information used to prepare decisions that directly impact the Quality performance of the E2E value chain of ekaterra.
It therewith supports the ability and capability of ekaterra to deliver and improve consumer safety and quality of products in the marketplace, protecting ekaterra’s reputation and brand equity.

Your Key Tasks:

      Quality Performance

  • Monitors and reports Market Unit quality performance – and works with the relevant functions/units to initiate improvement where needed

Quality in Operations

  • Lead  BSPAN Market Product Incident management in ekaterra for marketplace incidents and follows up on actions
  • Provides expertise, leadership and support in Quality management for resolution of Quality issues in re-packers, assemblers, promotions suppliers,  customers and distributors within Market Unit
  • Proposes mechanisms and processes to monitor conformance to global quality standards & requirements of Third Party Manufacturers (3PMs); Third Party Logistic providers, repackers and Distributors in the market unit
  • Leads or support external certification audits for the her/his market unit
  • Lead and input to answer Regulatory Body requests.
  • Provide quality input for any import / export activities

Quality Linkage

  • Connects cross-functionally within ekaterra (with Supply Chain, R&D, Brand) to ensure awareness of the content of the company QMS at all levels
  • As senior member of the quality team, play an active role on global quality programme definition and execution
  • Interface with customer / consumer care lines for alert trigger

Stakeholder Management and key interfaces:

  • Extended team member of BSPAN Supply Chan leadership meetings 

Skills and Experience

  • University degree in general sciences or technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 year of relevant experience in Quality roles at regional/global level
  • Quality expertise in Operations and/or Go to Market
  • Depth of experience within Food as minimum, expertise in Tea is a plus
  • Cross functional Influencing
  • Ability to work independent in a virtual (global) environment
  • Proven and recognized achievements in risk and change management
  • High level of energy
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Digital savviness
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of local language is a plus
