Scope overview:
This is a project lead position with responsibility for driving the development and implementation of key transformation projects for EU Logistics as a part of the overall transformation program. This role involves managing the design, development and roll-out of logistics network transformation projects, which should help to meet rapidly changing market requirements.
Typical projects range from revision of the existing logistics network across PMUs, identification of network restructuring opportunities via collaborative work with local operations, regional planning, procurement and SC consultants to development of transformation business cases, including estimation of CAPEX, savings, risks and implementation roadmap.
This position requires some experience in project and program management, experience in logistics and/or regional planning is considered an advantage. The role will interface heavily with multiple stakeholders across UL supply chain organization: logistics, repacking, customs, procurement, make teams. The role reports to EU logistics development manager and will have a high level of visibility across multiple supply chain leadership teams.
Accountabilities:
Project manage the existing logistics transformation initiatives on PMU / Market level
Develop / Generate ideas for further logistics transformation across EU ( service, cost, agility)
Develop transformational business cases, incl. investments, restructuring costs, savings and risks
Project reporting to sponsor and steering committee members
Effectively engage with multiple stakeholders across supply chain to ensure smooth development / implementation of the projects
Demonstrate strong leadership, facilitator and influencing skills to support implementation of change management activities & acquire buy-in from the stakeholders as a part of project development / implementation
Manage communications internal and external to the project
Ability to drive a team towards decisions in an environment with high levels of ambiguity, complexity and risk.
Ability to work across organisational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering for changes requiring buy-in from all partners
Ability to interact with all levels in the organization
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor or Masters degree in logistics / industrial engineering / supply chain management is preferred
Previous project/program management experience is required, experience in change management and multi-stakeholder management is considered an advantage
Good understanding of supply chain management and previous experience in logistics or planning is considered an advantage
