MAIN JOB PURPOSE:

The Collaborative Manufacturing (CM) Planning Manager is focusing on building planning capability of external manufacturing network to deliver service/inventory/cost/business waste targets across Europe.

The CM Planning Manager should work closely together with CMs, HC Category Planning Managers (CPM’s), Procurement, Collaborative Manufacturing Operations (CMO), EU export markets including Unilever International and 17 MSOs to ensure close collaboration and perfect execution of the targets for the category.

What you can expect from the role?

  • As a CM Planning Manager, you will be responsible for leading the network of externally produced FG products across 23 CM suppliers and together with Genpact partners you will be leading Virtual Factory (VF) planning team

  • CM Planning Manager is directly involved in setting priorities, deploying best practices, driving skills development of the team and setting continuous improvement agenda

  • He/She – together with the team - will be directly involved in development and execution of the category planning strategy

  • The CM Planning Manager is responsible for driving Customer Service, Inventory, Responsiveness, Event management, Operational customer connects for CMs and MSOs, Business Waste agendas, as well as overall CM long term capacity planning

  • He/She will be communicating and coordinating structural improvements with 3rd parties and ensuring SLA’s are in place and maintained as required

  • CM Planning Manager will have a good understanding of 3rd party contractual agreements  

  • CM Planning Manager might be required to lead 1-2 workstreams (eg, inventory workstream, RCCP+ implementation, obsoletes workstream, C4G & innovation workstream)

  • He/She will be actively involved in Innovation and project management agenda and support other teams in achieving OTIF project goals

  • CM Planning Manager is an escalation point for short term supply disruptions, as well as leading Business Continuity Plans for CM network

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for CM KPIs (service/inventory/cost/obsolete).

  • Accountable for monthly RCCPs and quarterly LT RCCPs, preparing for key decisions particularly around risk identification and mitigation like stock builds, overflows etc.

  • Accountable for Tactical mid-term customer (MSO/CM) connects and ensuring that the network delivers ongoing high-quality communication to all areas of the business.

  • Development of mid-long-term utilization scenario planning

  • Accountable for development and deployment of planning programs to drive service, inventory, responsiveness, cost, obsoletes.

  • Transformation planning.

  • Accountable for contingencies.

  • Network crisis management.

  • Co-accountable for innovation implementation (close collaboration with P&I’s and CMs).

  • Feed into innovation capacity decisions (Scenario planning).

  • Monthly network top loss review (All KPIs) to drive network improvements & weekly top future risk analysis.

  • Contribute to developing the planning community skills and competencies

Does this sound like you?

  • 2+ Years in End to End Supply Chain operations. With experience in at least 2 areas from MSO/SU/Procurement/Logistics.    

  • Supply chain (APICS or similar) qualification preferred.

  • Strong planning skills, or a strong attitude to planning (foresight, accuracy, attention for detail)

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic financial skills

  • Project management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong negotiation skills 

  • Strong Leadership and strategic influencing skills.

  • Well-developed ability to build a team/network, train and empower them and hold accountable.
