What will you be doing?

We are looking for an Assistant Key Account Manager who is accountable for the assigned geography of the sales, as well as improve sales turnover in HORECA customers and operators, carry out cooking demos, recipe sharing and product application activities to grow the market share.

Our ideal candidate shall combine strong customer management skills with solid selling essentials skills, a passion for food and a well-developed sense of purpose. Through this, he/she will be able to contribute to our overall growth, bring efficiency and future proof the business. The successful candidate will be based in Malacca.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle existing customer accounts for sales expansion, develop exiting customers or open new accounts within territory area, to ensure new SKU penetration, to execute marketing promotion activities/channel activation to achieve                    

  • Focus to promote core category product's range while doing normal duty.

  • Responsible to deliver expected sales growth and meeting company targets. 

  • Handle customers’ needs or orders on daily operation,

  • Cooking demo for customers to maximise SKU range use in the outlets. 

  • Attend sales training courses and development programmes and put the learning into practice.

  • Continuously build a good relationship with the customer.


50% of travelling time is required.

Key Stakeholders

  • Internal: Customers and distributors, Chef Team, Country Customer Development teams, Country Channel Marketing team, Country Food solutions Leadership Team, other support functions e.g., R&D, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance.

  • External: Customers (Purchasing, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality Assurance).

Team Structure

  • Reporting to: Key Account Manager – Operator

What’s in You

  • Relevant experience in field sales/key account management/modern trade, with a results-driven/achievement focused on the end goal in mind.

  • Experience in FMCG or Food Service industry.

  • Good knowledge and connection in the HORECA business.

  • Passion for Growth: to demonstrate a “Can-Do “attitude.

  • Basic culinary skills.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Field sales experience especially in the Southern region will be an added advantage.
