Background:

The Purpose of Role:

The Digital Marketing CRM Specialist or Data-Driven Marketing (DDM) Engagement Specialist is the champion and key business partner for brands on the use of data in digital marketing, e-commerce and 1:1 communications to drive better reach, engagement and business growth. He/she advises brands on their digital strategy and supports them in the planning and execution of digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Within the market, the DDM Engagement Specialist champions the roadmap, adoption and embedding of the rollout of DDM capabilities, which include the Unilever Cloud technology solutions that enable data-driven marketing.

  • Advises & upskills marketers on data-driven marketing best practices, and supports them in the planning and execution of their digital marketing campaigns and digital strategy.

  • Responsible for building data partnerships with relevant tech, commerce and market research companies.

  • Expert in planning and executing CRM campaigns (email and SMS), and works closely with activation agency.

  • Builds and champions innovation and case studies to unlock/demonstrate the business value of DDM.

  • Responsible for quarterly presentation of the achievements, learnings and ROI delivered from deployed DDM programs in the market.

  • Identifies opportunities, and builds them into tangible test and learn projects.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and other markets’ best practices, and continually feed new thinking and ideas back into the business about digital marketing & CRM.

  • Maintain and manage the demand across all brands/ categories/ clusters, prioritizing campaigns/projects as necessary.

  • Develop and/or localize global training guides and conduct upskill sessions to educate the business about Data-Driven Marketing.

Key Stakeholders/Interfaces:

  • Reports into global Line Management of DDM Senior Manager, with a dotted line to local Digital Hub & Media Lead.

  • Works as part of MY SG Digital Hub team – a cross-functional team across CMI, Media, eCommerce, Data governance and agency partners

  • Business partners with peers and senior stakeholders in the business to ensure that they embrace and embed DDM (primarily Brands, Media, eCommerce, Geo IT and CMI).

Travel:

No travel is required.

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing and/or eCommerce (e.g. planning and delivering digital and CRM campaigns), either agency or brand side.

  • Deep understanding and experience of the digital advertising and marketing tech ecosystem.

  • An excellent communicator with senior stakeholders and peers, able to understand and articulate business and technical requirements (conversational and presentational).

  • Proven project management skills, particularly around assessing priorities and managing workloads.

  • Experience managing relationships within a large, multinational, matrix organization.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Marketing Cloud suite (or similar) and Customer Data Platforms as a bonus but not a prerequisite.

Desirable Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

  • Communication and influencing skills.

  • Project management and business partnering.

  • Proactive and can-do attitude.

  • Experience executing digital marketing and personalized communications and tracking the impact of different personalization techniques to drive business value.

  • Passion for the social and digital world and its implications for business.
