Unilever is proud of its Tea business, the biggest in the world, with world class purpose driven brands such as Lipton, PG tips and Pukka. Recently, Unilever decided to separate the Tea business to ensure it can best achieve its potential. Unilever is currently reviewing several options for separation, including a demerger, an initial public offering, a disposal or through partnership models. The process is expected to conclude by the end of 2021. The Tea businesses in India and Indonesia, and the partnership interests in the ready-to-drink Tea joint ventures will be retained.

The balance of the Tea brands and geographies and all Tea estates, with generated revenues of €2 billion in 2019, is growing and profitable with proven potential both pre- and post-COVID-19. As a standalone entity, the Tea company remains number one in the world and is even better positioned to lead the industry and take full advantage of the opportunities in the category, with more focus and entrepreneurship driving greater growth and value.

Your Role:

He/she contributes to create a healthy funnel of projects and to ensure the effectiveness of the related prioritization process. Support in performance management: He/she advises the Australasia ekaterra on the strategic financial decisions and in trade-offs among cost & service. Send one voice to the markets: he/she ensures a consistent communication on targets, results and cost. He/she leads the key financial cycles, ensuring speed in operations, discipline in budget mgmt. and robustness of the finance processes. He/she leads the development of new capabilities and analytics giving the Australasia ekaterra finance team to tools to operate with a higher level of effectiveness. He/she will be responsible to set up robust processes and template for Australasia ie ROI, Promotion Evaluation, Working Capital Management, SKU Rationalisation etc.

  • Can deftly articulate evolving priorities for the business and have a point of view on shaping the agenda for the future. He sees the bigger picture and provides new perspectives and clarity. Spots issues in the future and responds to the dynamic environment.

Key interfaces and relevant stakeholders for this role:

  • Australasia ekaterra Leadership Team

  • Reports into Role of Australasia Regional CFO

Required Knowledge and Experiences:

  • Degree or professional certificate, preferably in Accountancy / Finance

  • Solid years’ of finance experience in FMCG industry, preferably in accounting and/or financial analysis.

  • Exposure in Multi-national corporate environment

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, SQL, Business Objects).

  • Knowledge of ERP, ideally SAP and SAP BW reporting, and related data analysis tools are an added advantage.

  • Excellent business judgment, analytical, presentation capabilities and decision-making skills.
