The Purpose of Role:
The role of the Finance Business Partner is to develop and drive the financial strategy and business performance of certain brands and lead cross-category projects. The Finance Business Partner attends to the Brand Leadership Teams or other Leadership Teams and will focus on the finance aspects of those agendas.
This will include providing Finance Business Partnering leadership in the following areas:
Commercially shape the medium to the long-term direction of their respective brands or pillars.
Drive increased value for the business through specific value projects/interventions.
Dynamic resource allocation to meet Category growth priorities.
Business case development and benefits realization for project investments.
Strategically influence senior stakeholders.
Reporting to: Finance Business Partner Manager
Periodically, the Finance Business Partner Manager would review projects in process and upcoming challenges and issue a work plan for Finance Business Partner resourcing. Finance Business Partners would then be allocated as appropriate and could be performing, but not limited to, some of the activities below:
Custodian of the categories P&L.
Working as part of a team on cross-functional performance interventions.
Drive the development of all Innovation Business Cases.
Embed the rigor, discipline, and continuous improvement around post-launch evaluation in partnership with the marketing team.
Business Model development and development of external insights into customers and competitors.
Strategic planning and alignment between Customer and Category.
Understand and implement Fuel for Growth recommendations for respective categories.
Working with Marketing on Media, re-defining market context, long-term strategy vs. white space, competitor war-gaming, Core of the Core.
Participate in key business meetings and provide financial support/advice in cross-functional projects.
Assist Finance Business Partner Manager in developing corrective action to close gaps to targets.
Share lessons learned and standard intervention tools with the Finance Business Partner community.

No travel is required.
A qualified Accountant or equivalent (or studying towards a professional accounting qualification).
Experience with the identification of risks and opportunities in the P&L.
Experience in driving P&L performance improvements (e.g. closing gaps vs. target) and holding others accountable (particularly peers and leadership).
Extensive experience managing a large and complex set of stakeholders
Experience in presenting to and communicating with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
Resilience (ability to cope with time pressure and challenges).
Strong engagement, presentation, and communication skills.
Strong analytical skills, Excel modeling skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent in presenting complex information in a simplified manner.
Creative and innovative.
