The Purpose of Role:

The Key Account Manager is responsible for the management and development of selected customer accounts which are generally within a defined geography, to create and sustain demand to maximize business growth. You are the day to day contact for the customer and are responsible for the delivery of customer targets for their area

Team Structure:

  • Reporting to: National Sales Manager

  • Direct reports: N/A

  • Indirect reports: N/A

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cascade and translate strategy into action plans.

  • Input, understand and align with appropriate channel business plan.

  • Win and retain profitable business with customers.

  • Develop in conjunction with channel Marketing, activity for differentiation.

  • Conduct innovation session with customer to agree on products or concept that fit to both customer needs and agreed to Unilever Food Solutions business strategies.

  • Work with customer on consumer research to get an understanding of consumer insights.

  • Negotiate business terms with customer to reach the most effective conditions for the Company.

  • Regularly conduct customer business review.

  • Control and manage assigned budgets for selling support in line with Unilever policies and strategies.

  • Gain insight and understanding by leverage the commercial insights with channel marketing team to create sustainable profitable business for both parties.

  • Work closely and regularly with the internal team to leverage specialist capabilities and specific outlets for activation.

  • Co-ordinate with internal business support from Chef, Research & Development, Supply Chain, Channel Marketing and related functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations to support the business growth plan.

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

  • Experience in the food services industry.

  • Experience in account management or field sales.

  • Experience in customer development plan.
