Your Role & Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced transportation manager who is fully entrenched into ‘can do’ mindset and looks to deliver value to organization, customers and stakeholders. We’re looking for someone who thrives in balancing brand, consumer, customers, with the ambition to deliver a substantial step up in profitable growth of the portfolio.
This Individual will focus on planning & executing Transportation within Oracles Transportation Management System (OTM) and work with partners (carriers, brokers etc.) to drive process & policy hygine. The Transportation Manager should have both Import and Export Experience as well as understanding of North America Logistics Market, ocean freight knowledge, carrier performance, and customs procedures.
This Individual will be the focal point to all other functional areas within Logistics and SC Planning including Warehousing, Transportation Analytics, Customer Support, Procurement, customer development and Finance. Being global organization, flexibility to work with different time zone teams will play a key role in driving performance.
Your Key Responsibilities
Managing transportation operations for our NA DC’s as well as monitor inbounds from our global Suppliers.
Partner with Customer, Warehouse, and Logistics partners to provideoptimal on time service to our customers.
Utilize Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) to build and execute truckload, LTL, hotshot and all other modes of transportation
Provide support for customer Track & Trace/POD inquiries.
Resolve and track customer complaints and issues.
Balance key KPI’s to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
Strategically you will be evaluating losses and looking for trends to drive overall improvement across all metrics.
Partner with Elida Beauty Procurement Team for quotes, pricing, and RFP process
Attend all required meetings and training. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Elida Beauty policy.
Comply with Elida Beauty Standards and regulations to encourage a safe and efficient workplace.
Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving opportunities as necessary.
Provide data interpretation and cleansing as required.
Monitor loads for exception and manage to closure.
Provide support to the carrier billing process & work through any discrepancies.
Provide feedback and recommendations to drive continuous improvement at account and operational level.
Excellent communicator and team player.
Other duties as assigned.
E2E design and execution of Warehouse and Logistics Team Strategy for all the key customers in market (10%)
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business, finance or supply chain management.
5+ years of experience in transportation field handling retail, consumer goods consignments
Demonstrated analytical and conceptual problem-solving ability; excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure with autonomy
The ability to effectively lead and engage cross functional global teams and a willingness to take responsibility and accountability
Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to deliver results in a lean, agile organization and able to adapt to changing priorities
Strong communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills
Understanding of key financials, P&L ,WMS systems and cost to serve models

Work Level 1C: Pay: The pay range for this position is $83,200 to $124,700. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible. Benefits: Unilever employees are eligible to participate in our benefits plan.
