Then look no further…  This role gives you the opportunity to set the agenda for connecting SHE processes, data and digital systems.

Driving value through the delivery of business functional requirements via a well-designed roadmap of opportunities.

In this role you will be the business subject matter expert defining the business requirements and change management to implement key IT digital capabilities and improvements. 

Working in the Digital SHE(Safety Health and Environment) team you will be joining a small growing community of SHE digital experts delivering the next generation of SHE capabilities to support the business. 

There are 2 roles available:

Managing the existing suite of products within the SHENeT system. SHENeT is a growing system covering a number of key Safety and Environment processes including Safety and Environment incident management; Positive (Self) Assurance Audits; Environmental Site Audits, Management of Change; Bowtie capabilities and more. Active management of the system to ensure it is easy to use and designed in line with the latest SHE process thinking is key to success. Managing an active power user community ensures you can keep your ear to the ground; understand business needs and are able to take an end-to-end perspective on the processes supported by SHENeT.

Managing the implementation of a new digital systems for Safety – starting with Permit to Work to implement a global process and capability to improve our control of work to reduce the risk of incidents in relation tasks at sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand the HSE strategy and stakeholders needs to develop a clear vision for the product.

Define and drive the business priorities. Lead improvement projects to upgrade the capabilities and drive efficiency, accuracy, and visibility of the data.

An early project is expected to be the implementation of a digital tool for Permit to Work to implement a global process and capability to improve our control of work to reduce the risk of incidents in relation tasks at sites.

Programme/Project Management

  • Establish/Manage a User Network

  • Ensure project governance is in place and operating

  • Develop and track delivery of the benefits case

  • Manage and engage the Subject Matter Expertise community

  • Escalate issues

Design solutions for business needs

  • Act as business requirements/Product Owner

  • Gather and develop business requirements and user stories, taking a holistic end to end view of requirements.

  • When required work with IT on system selection and procurement

  • Establish business resources for testing activities and the testing plan

  • Establish implementation and roll-out plan

Stakeholder engagement & Change Management plan

  • Oversee the stakeholder engagement and change plan

  • Actively engage the user network and broader stakeholder community

  • Develop and roll-out training materials

Experience Required:

  • Familiarity with SHENeT and existing SHE digital/IT solutions

  • Leading project teams

  • A passion for digital

  • Experience of managing processes and systems as a business owner / product owner – working closely with IT to deliver.

  • Business lead in delivery on SHE process changes at sites

  • Experience of delivery using the Agile methodology

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and story-telling skills

  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Ability to influence and deliver through peers effectively

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Effective collaboration skills and experience with navigating large organizations and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

  • Understanding of the external market for SHE tools.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
