YourRole & Key Responsibilities

Your Role

AsHead of Supply ChainFinance and member of the Supply Chain Leadership teamreporting to the Group Controller.You willpartner and developtheGlobalSC strategy forElida Beautydriving both the innovation growth agenda and a stretching savings target to generate fuel for growth.Together with two direct reports you willtakenfull responsibility forkey processesand controlsacross the supply chain includingproduct costing, transfer pricing, inventory controland commercials across3rdparty supplier/service networks.The role reports to the Group Financial Controller. 

The Elida Beauty Supply chainisa globalorganisationrun principally from the UK with presence across key markets for serviceexecution.The Elida supply is set-up to be lean and responsive with manufacturingvia astrategic3rdpartysupplierandlogistics network run through a combination ofElida Beauty warehousing and 3 party logistics providerswhilst R&D is run through a combination ofin-house, 3rdparty and partnerships. 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Decision Support:Partnerstrategic decisions and trade-offs among cost, inventory & serviceand pro-actively bring risks/opportunitiesfwdfor consideration

  • SC Performance management:You willset and monitor KPIs (Qual & Quant) across the supply chain focusing across safety,serviceand cost

  • Savings:Create, own, and drive large value impact programs (5S, Supplier Network Transformation, Complexity reduction) to keep the financial growth engine running

  • Commodities:Partnering with procurement you will pro-activelymodel the impact of inflation working closely with the marketsto support marginand pricing decisions across the business

  • Gross Margin:Leader for gross margin initiatives across the business, owning the methodology and reporting for Gross Margin Variance Analysis and improvement initiatives across the business 

  • 3rdParty Contracts:Partner the supply chain teamon across commercials aspects of 3P Manufacturing and Logistics contracts and management of commercial escalations  

  • Product Costing:Working across the supplier network take responsibility for product costs and allactivity-basedcosting tosupport robust and insightful cost and margin analysis across the portfolio 

  • Transfer Pricing:Working with the Tax teamtake responsibility for the deployment of the transfer pricing model across the Elida Beauty group

  • Balance Sheet Control:Responsible for balance sheet integrity and control for all inventory and supply chain assets

  • FX Management:Work closely with the Tax & Treasury Manager to mitigate risk and exposure to FXthrough the supply network

  • Procurement & NPI:Partner to the procurementorganisationacross all non-productioncosts leadinginitiatives todriveefficiencies and savings 

  • R&D: Partner the R&D teambringing decision support and budget control.

Proven technical ability across controlling to both lead and do across the controlling agenda. 

  • Passion for People: A coach,mentorand the obvious desire to devote personal time to build people skills and with a flair to lead people and command fellowship.  The candidate should have the maturity and deftness to understand nuances in different inter relationships and find the best way to get the job done –holding themselves and their colleagues accountable at all times.

Requirements

Must have:

  • Broadcommercial finance experienceacross FMCG/Retail sector

  • Proven ability to partner and influence across a broadand senior stakeholder base

  • Proven ability in technical finance areas including transfer pricing andcontrollership

  • Proven ability to innovate and manage change

  • Strong grasp of the Supply Chain function and value drivers within
