YourRole & Key Responsibilities

Main Job Purpose:

The scope and main responsibilities of this role.

The core purpose of this ‘anchor’ role is to lead the Elida Beauty organisation to deliver insightful, differentiated campaigns.  These campaigns should be omnichannel and driven by purpose or by data.

This role will lead delivery of brilliant and exciting brand and category driving experiences at the point of purchase decision, that, through unlocking shopper barriers and prompting triggers to purchase, positively influence shopper consideration, help to find the right product and / or convince the shopper to buy!

This role strategically aligns theTrade andChannel Shopper Marketing focus around the Shopper and the Retailer, whilst ensuring alignment with Unilever’s strategy.  The role develops and executes insightful and differentiated/purpose-led shopper programmes, based on an intimate knowledge of our shoppers and our customers, and in doing so contributes towards the development of strong brand equities, supports the retailer’s agendaand therefore enables Unilever to disproportionately win.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be part of theElida Beauty commercialteam

Working alongside theentire teamto help lead the Shopper Marketingteam as a whole. 

  • Represent Shopper by Category in Integrated Business Planning

Represents theEuropeanshopper issues and opportunitieson the basis ofidentified category specific triggers and barriers

  • Own Shopper Insight:

Be the Shopper Insight/CMIs key business partner to lead for the embedding of Shopper insight into the Marketing teams. Use existing insight from CMI and develop new insight (if necessary) to generate clear barriers and triggers, which form the basis for any shopper marketing campaign. 

  • Lead for the development of a Shopper Marketing Strategy with the retailers

Support in the co-creation of the Shopper Marketing Category Strategy and ensure all Shopper Marketing plans are adhering to this. 

  • Builds Customer relationships and attends Category Brand Cascade for all Retailers

As the retailer Shopper Marketing lead, responsible for representing Category Shopper Marketing plans as part of the annual Brand Cascade and gains Retailer alignment on the programmes to be activated.

  • Develops and executes shopper marketing programmes

Works with Marketing team to align category priorities and identifies where shopper activation is suitable to meet the KPIs (behaviour changes / measures) of the prioritised JTBD.

Agrees an overall budget with Brand teams to be used in shopper activation programmes and then develops a retailer proposal for the budget based on strategic fit, brand equity development, customer agenda and size of the prize.  Main focus to be placed on differentiated and purpose led campaigns, underpinned by insights that will deliver disproportionate counterparts with the retailer and so disproportionate growth.  Leads for the execution of retailer agreed plans, ensuring optimal OTIF delivery.

  • Drive Shopper Marketing Return on Investment

Uses ROI data to ensure optimal touchpoint selection.  This information is shared with Retailer Shopper Marketing Manager to facilitate quality conversations with the Retailers

  • Manage overall cardboard POS responsibilities

Manage relationships and conversations relating to cardboard investment with category buddies and Brand Directors.
