Unilever International is Unilever’s White Space Arm. Our purpose is to ‘Serve the Underserved and Make a Difference’. We work as a ‘fully independent yet fully integrated Go-To-Market with various MCOs through hubs in US, Europe, Africa, AMET, South Asia, SEAA and North Asia to fill white spaces for Unilever. On one hand, we are completely responsible for building all of Unilever’s brands in white space geographies like Korea, Pacific Islands, Mongolia and on the other we are now leading the launches of big brands like Lifebuoy, Sunlight, Fair & Lovely, Tresemme among others into big markets like the US, China, Western Europe and SEAA.

As Unilever’s growth engine, we are thirdly responsible for creating a global white space business in alternate channels like Duty Free (66bn$ globally), E Commerce Seeding in China and India, marketing to Institutional partners like the United Nations and seeding Unilever brands to overseas diaspora who miss their home brands.

Unilever Korea is one of the white space geographies managed by Unilever International, since 2015. It is a unique business unit of UI as it is the only Operating Company that is managed by UI end-to-end. Some key facts about this Opco:

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

CD Assistant Manager – HORECA will be responsible for leading the execution of sales and customer engagement strategy for the HORECA channel (Hotel/Restaurant/Café) of the Food & Refreshments category in Unilever Korea. This role will be accountable for delivering business targets (i.e. Turnover, Reach & Penetration, etc) of the assigned channel/category/products, whilst driving sustainable business growth by establishing excellent customer relationships.  This role includes following duties and responsibilities, but additional requirements may be assigned as needed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Establishes productive and professional business relationship with key personals in key customers
  • Acts as active ambassador of Unilever at the Customer and of the Customer at Unilever
  • Set short-and mid-term Customer management strategy
  • Proactively leads a joint business planning process including internal IBP process that develops performance objective and financial targets
  • Closes the deal with the Customer by negotiating the trade terms, trade funding, and counterparts according to the ULK strategy on his/her Customers
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales with deliver the components of quality sales (e.g. Right products at the Right price)
  • Manages the customer P&L for the customer and by categories, counterparts and budget planning
  • Manages overall levels of customer investment for his/her customers
  • Makes sure projections are accurate, leads and followed up, promotions and incentives are executed.
  • Monitor sales and operational results based on KPIs

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of sales (and/or) channel/trade marketing experiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with co-workers, business partners and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred:

  • MBA degree
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

50% (domestic)
