[Main Job Purpose]
- Lead category and channel strategy development to attain defined business objectives of food (nutrition and ice cream) category in local market
- Implement trade marketing strategies to achieve the brand growth targets for the category and channel
- Represents CD voice in BG meeting during key processes. Drives of strategic and tactical choices between
channels and customers for the future and for current period. Holding accountable for their team to
create and to execute and evaluate category plans on channel/instore level within budget. Aligns
than commits in BG meeting an executable annual plan. Defines the criteria of perfect execution by channel
and prepares channel category JTBDs.
- Understands main drivers of business delivery and responsible for monitoring their execution. Also
acts against of gap (mid-term channel/customer or short-term brand)
- Must be the voice of customer and shopper too (by ensuring relevant information and tools are used) during IBP.
[Key Accountability]
1. Owning Food (Nutrition & Ice Cream) channel strategy
• Responsible for FY P&L management as a category owner
• Prepares Category and channel strategy along with execute associated plans
• Plan for yearly & quarterly sales plan in collaboration with local sales team and various stakeholders
• Ensures customer launch plans are optimal, sign off the distribution targets
• Category Growth Strategy localisation
2. CD representation in key UL processes (IBP, IPM, S&OP)
• Represents the customer, the shopper and the CD function in our innovation process
• Ensures strong customer input early in the funnel; acts as the voice of the customer in market
deployment decisions.
• Ensures relevant customer and shopper knowledge embedded into plans• Foster collaboration between marketing and sales team to ensure consistent brand vision and alignment
• Manage inventory in line with the product and sales plan
3. Business delivery (corrective steps in T/O and consumer price promotion)
• Mid-term (4-6 m) activity planning & short-term (0-3 m) following on the top key activities/ key
customer issues
• Gap filling plan/ proposals
• Sets the promo strategy & guidelines, comms to CD/ Sales
• ROI Key learning share with Sales/MKT prepares conclusions from evaluations, actions from insights
• Reviews trade spend on an as needs basis as part of the BG performance cycle, highlighting issues and corrective actions
• Proposes customer & channel targets
4. Trade Activities Management
• Prepare season ISP plan (including wet sampling) and communicate with channel
• Control MD agency and maintenance 3rd party activity and cost
• Manage asset (machine, accessory)
• Prepare trade promotional plan in designated channels with crucial customers
5. Others
• Coordinate communication of price, promotions, product, and pack changes
• Analyze data (sales, shipment, sell-out etc.) and provide interpretation/implication
• Maintain a thorough understanding of objectives and strategies to provide feedback with stakeholders
• Responsible to communicate, align, and share requested data (trade activities, sales trend, monthly report etc.) with the brand company in overseas as a key contact point on the sales side of the distributor
[Experience Required]
Essential:
- Minimum 4-5 years track record in trade marketing/customer development/marketing with leadership experience
- F&R Category experience in at least Foods, Tea or Ice Cream
