About Unilever

Unilever is one of the world’s leading suppliers of Food, Home and Personal Care products with sales in over 190 countries and reaching 2 billion consumers a day. Unilever has more than 400 brands found in homes around the world, including Persil, Dove, Knorr, Domestos, Hellmann’s, Lipton, Wall’s, PG Tips, Ben & Jerry’s, Marmite, Magnum and Lynx. Faced with the challenge of climate change and the need for human development, we want to move towards a world where everyone can live well and within the natural limits of the planet. That’s why our purpose is ‘to make sustainable living commonplace”

The role is based in Port Sunlight, near Liverpool, where you can find our offices, factories and Research & Development Centre at your fingertips. Our purpose, to make sustainable living commonplace, is rooted in the history of the Port Sunlight site. It’s a thread that connects us to our founder, Lord Lever, and his social mission to improve health, hygiene and livelihoods.

We are a global team who innovate boldly to create the products and experiences that improve people’s health, confidence and wellbeing and positively impact the health of the planet. This in turn drives sustainable, profitable growth for Unilever and our much-loved brands.

We are the innovators, scientists, engineers, chefs, technologists, regulatory experts and data scientists, bringing to life our ambitions, without being afraid to challenge our own thinking to get there.

We are award-winning leaders recognised for our expertise, celebrating the diversity and creativity in each and every one of us that makes our innovations come to life.

We are Unilever R&D.

Job Purpose

Do you want to make a difference in helping us achieve our ambition to improve the health of the planet, and to protect and regenerate nature?  Then look no further!

At Unilever we have set out to make a difference to those big issues that matter most to our business and to the world. Our goal: transformational change at system level.

Fundamental change to whole systems is needed if we are to make a genuine difference. Our transformational change agenda combines direct action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals with partnerships and external advocacy to create change on a systemic scale – while creating business opportunities and delivering relevant innovations at the same time. Our purpose-led, future-fit Unilever Compass strategy is guiding us and is built on three beliefs: brands with purpose grow; companies with purpose last; and people with purpose thrive.

Foods & Refreshment (F&R) is one of the three Divisions of Unilever, and aims to delight consumers with foods, beverages and ice-cream that Taste Good, Feel Good and are a Force for Good, with brands like Knorr, Hellmann’s, Ben & Jerry’s, Magnum, Lipton and many more.
