Are you our new Business Development Lead for Unilever International?

As intrapreneurs, we introduce Unilever’s brands into white space geographies like Korea, Pacific Islands, Mongolia, Malta, and spearhead launches of iconic household brands like Dove, Lifebuoy, Sunlight, Fair & Lovely, Tresemme into big markets like UK, U.S, China, Western Europe and SEAA.

As Unilever’s growth engine, we establish global white space businesses in key channels such as Health & Beauty, Discounters, E-Commerce, and alternate channels such as travel retail, marketing to institutional partners like the United Nations, and seeding Unilever brands to overseas diaspora who crave for a taste of their familiar home brands.

Singapore is our global hub leading strategy, marketing thinking, seeding plans, and alignment with the global categories and supply chain.

About Business Development in UI…

We build market positions in white spaces by identify new opportunities, developing, defining, negotiating, and nurturing strong business relationships. We own the business’ P&L end-to-end, partner with customers, distributors, and internal cross-functional teams to manage and grow existing businesses, to deliver growth through flawless execution of projects.

This role is important because …

  • You will become a critical member of the team leading sales in UL’s new business unit

  • You will be empowered to be involved in the strategy and own the delivery of key strategic goals.

  • You will get to work with some of UL most iconic brands and have a chance to return them to former glory

  • The commercial impacts and performance of these brands to the business are sizeable

Your key responsibilities include…

Business Development & Prospecting

  • Managing relationship with current set of distributors and retailers 

  • Develop new distributors to cater to white space opportunities identified

  • Managing potential businesses through market analysis, deal requirements, potential and financial analysis

  • Overseeing end-to-end process from idea to launch with customers and internal teams

Establishing and Executing Business Plans

  • Supervising strategic business plan processes and speed-to-market for new product distribution across locations

  • Overseeing networks for new product launches with supply chain team and alignment with Category team on launches

  • Flawless execution of key projects

Tracking and Monitoring Performance

  • Monitoring and ensuring key performance metrics are met

Stakeholder Management

  • Leading and aligning cross functional teams to effectively manage key customer meetings

  • Aligning with local CCBT for synergies on Portfolio, customers & SC, operations when required

  • Over 3 years’ experience in FMCG industry in operational key account management, customer development, sales

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline
