Out of Home REGIONAL BUSINESS MANAGER-Northwest

Location: Remote USA

Background & Purpose of the Job

Achieve the Region sales plan within trade investment spending parameters.  Develop and grow the total Unilever Ice Cream business in the Out of Home (OOH) Channels through the training and management of Distributor network.  Primary focus placed on small format independent stores, convenience stores, recreation, leisure, travel, business location and other national accounts.  In addition, executing and managing the freezer equipment program

Who You Are & What You’llDo

  • Manage the Distributor network to expand the availability and visibility of the full range of Unilever Ice Cream OOH products within the geographic Region.

  • Strategically expand and profitably manage the freezer equipment program through the distributor.

  • Manage freezer location and performance results to maximize return

  • Forecast region freezer equipment needs

  • Redeployment of under-performing freezer locations

  • Ensure freezer contracts and rentals are current

  • Conduct freezer audits.  Follow up to fix problem accounts.

  • Frequent access of the Freezer Management (FMS) on-line system for accurate counts of distributor’s freezers (placed and warehouse inventory).

  • Manage distributor to meet volume performance requirements and, if not being met,developand propose the corrective plan of action to the Area Sales Director.

  • Develop relationships with and sell key regional C-Store accounts and buying groups (e.g. 7-Eleven FOA’s).

  • Work with each distributor to introduce fundamental category management, business reviews, schematic development, POS/promotion planning (elements of thePerfect Storeprogram) and trade budget planning disciplines.

  • Build an annual region sales forecast loaded into the Unilever AMPs and updated monthly.  Provide a monthly business update to each distributor.

  • Develop presentations, correspondence, initiate prompt promotional payments and general administration.

  • Work with distributor management,salespeopleand ride with drivers on an ongoing basis in order to train employees and facilitate proper execution of our sales plans in the marketplace.

  • Execute National Account programs on the local/regional level, with assistance from the National Key Account Managers

What You’ll NeedToSucceed

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 5+ years of relevant sales and distribution experience

  • Business development and account management experience required

  • Consumer Product Goods experience

  • DSD experience highly preferred

  • Strong communication and relationship building skills

  • Strong analytical ability
