Job Purpose

The SO Analytics & Reporting Assistant Manager is responsible for designing, delivering and scaling analytics, reporting and automation capabilities across Supplier Operations. The role focuses on transforming fragmented, manual KPI reporting into governed, automated and insight-driven dashboards that support operational performance, leadership decision-making and the evolving global organisation structure.

The role acts as a bridge between business teams, data & analytics, procurement technology and external partners to ensure KPIs are clearly defined, consistently measured and operationally sustainable, while working very closely with the Global Strategic Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics, Reporting & Automation

  • Lead the design and delivery of global Supplier Operations KPI dashboards, covering areas such as Payments, Supplier Onboarding, Sourcing Operations, Contracting, Cash and Capex MRO.

  • Translate business KPI definitions and operational logic into scalable data models and automated reporting solutions using Power BI and Data Lake ingestion.

  • Reduce manual reporting effort by automating data extraction, transformation and refresh cycles from source systems where possible.

  • Ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, auditable and aligned to agreed governance standards.

KPI Definition & Governance

  • Partner with service lines to capture, validate and standardise KPI logic, calculation rules and data sources.

  • Maintain a clear KPI framework including definitions, ownership, refresh cadence and assumptions.

  • Support alignment of KPIs to evolving BG/BU structures and leadership reporting requirements.

  • Act as a subject-matter expert for SO KPI interpretation and performance logic.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Supplier Operations teams to understand as-is processes and identify opportunities for simplification and automation.

  • Collaborate with Data & Analytics, Procurement Technology and external consultants to align solutions with platform standards and long-term architecture.

  • Support leadership with clear, insight-led reporting that enables faster and better-informed decision-making.

Project & Delivery Management

  • Lead analytics initiatives from discovery through to delivery and BAU handover.

  • Coordinate dependencies across teams, data sources and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Ensure solutions are operationally ready, with appropriate documentation, support models and data quality controls in place.

Capability Building & Knowledge Sharing

  • Mentor and support team members on Power BI and analytics best practices.

  • Enable greater self-service and resilience within the team by sharing knowledge on KPI logic, data flows and reporting design.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, automation and data-driven thinking within Supplier Operations.

Qualifications/Skills

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Experience in Power BI (data modelling, DAX, performance optimisation).

  • Optional experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and Excel-based automation.

  • Strong understanding of KPI frameworks, performance measurement and reporting governance.

  • Ability to translate complex operational processes into clear, automated analytics solutions.

Stakeholder & Delivery Skills

  • Proven ability to work across multiple service lines and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong communication skills, able to explain complex data and logic in a clear, business-focused way.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and shaping solutions where processes are not yet standardised.

  • Experience managing analytics initiatives through to BAU readiness.

Impact & Outcomes

  • Significant reduction in manual KPI reporting effort across Supplier Operations.

  • Improved accuracy, transparency and trust in SO performance reporting.

  • Faster insight generation to support operational and leadership decision-making.

  • Stronger analytics capability and resilience within the team.
