The ideal candidate would be working towards a university-level degree in a related engineering field (i.e. Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical). This role requires supporting the Maintenance and Engineering department with Capital Projects, Maintenance activities, and Cybersecurity Activities. Moreover, the candidate would work closely with cross functional departments and plant staff in creating and deploying various projects. This is an on-site role at a Manufacturing facility, candidate needs to hold Safety and Quality at the utmost importance.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

Project management and coordination including:

• Assist in putting together business cases for CapEx project proposals
• Working closely with OEMs and contractors to provide technical documents, order equipment, manage trades and contractors on-site
• Liaising between all key stakeholders at the site (i.e. operations, planning, maintenance, engineering)
• Maintain all project documentation, financial support (i.e. purchase orders, invoices, budget management)

Maintenance Coordination and Support

• Asset classification
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities (documentation, completion tracking)
• Inventory management
• Equipment breakdown support
• Cybersecurity support
• Documentation support

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience working in a Manufacturing Environment
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office experience is a plus
• Strong analytic skills and data centric mindset
• Strong written and oral communication, and ability to make presentations and reports
• Ability to work individually with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team

General Considerations:

• This is a 8 month Co op opportunity, with a May start date. However we can accommodate if you can only work for 4 months
• For this opportunity you will be required to work in person on site, from Monday to Fridays
• Salary rate is based on complete years of University studies and goes from CAD$22 p/h to CAD$26 p/h
