JOB PURPOSE Be part of a team that is responsible for driving an exciting agenda to deliver our Unilever commitments for Safety and Sustainability: Zero harm to people Zero emissions in our operations by 2030 Maintain zero waste to landfill in our factories Phase out high impact refrigerants This role is part of the SHE Global Compliance team, which manages SHE Data and Reporting. The team owns the Safety and Environment performance reporting process for corporate, Business Groups, and Regions, and is driving improvements in processes, data, and systems to enhance analytics and generate deeper insights into performance. This role will allow you to bring strong analytical skills alongside creativity and innovation to the way we measure, monitor and report on our progress and impact. As a Data and Reporting Specialist, you will have the opportunity to influence the way environmental performance and impact is improved in Unilever. You will create stories from the data and uncover evidence to focus attention on the areas of greatest opportunity and risk. There are significant opportunities to drive improvements and efficiency in the reporting process to free up time to improve our understanding of the drivers of SHE performance. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE 1. Data Reporting Accuracy  Ensure accurate and timely reporting of environmental data in collaboration with regional teams and delivery managers.  Maintain and improve processes and governance to minimize reporting errors.  Lead initiative to harmonize, simplify, and automate reporting processes.  Own the preparation and accuracy of water metric data for audits compliance.  Conduct comparison analyses of water metric data to identify outliers and follow up with error correction and root cause analysis. 2. Data Transparency and Visualization  Provide timely and accurate reporting on environmental KPIs to internal and external stakeholders.  Develop new visual or analytics requirements for visual dashboards (Power BI) and maintain new or existing dashboard’s data integrity.  Define meaningful KPIs and targets to drive environmental performance.  Prepare and validate water data sets for external audit purposes.  Understand and manage the end-to-end flow of information between data platforms and functional groups.  Support stakeholders in using data effectively for strategic decision-making and act as a key business partner for regional, audit, environmental, and sustainability leads. 3. Continuous Improvement and Digital Transformation  Drive improvements in data quality and reporting practices throughout the end-to-end environmental data process.  Lead or collaborate on projects to deliver enhancements to SHE data and reporting processes, systems, and tools.  Collaborate to integrate environmental data reporting with digital platforms to enhance transparency and efficiency.  Support sustainability metrics and ESG reporting aligned with regional and global standards.  Collaborate on digital transformation projects, including automation of data collection and reporting.  Leverage Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, SQL, and Power BI for dashboard development and analytics.  Stay up to date with external best practices and regulatory changes for environmental data reporting in your region. WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED Experiences & Qualifications ESSENTIAL • Experience working with large and complex data sets • At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, environment, sustainability and/or ESG • High proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI DESIRABLE • A STEM graduate, preferably within a relevant area (data science, SHE) • ESG/Environmental reporting and disclosure experience • Project management tools and Engineering experience • Experience working with diverse groups at a global level • Delivering outcomes that contribute to a sustainable business, through other SHE functional teams, regional and site operational team • Experience working with Microsoft Azure and SQL databases • Experience driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment Skills • Strong data & analytics skills, with an innate curiosity on the topic • Solid understanding of Unilever’s Environmental Metrics including the metrics defined in Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive’s (CSRD) European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) regulations • Attention to detail and a high standard of work • Project management skills • Keeps the ‘bigger picture’ in mind while close to the detail • Ability to communicate and influence virtually across diverse geographies and functions • Preferred: A good understanding of manufacturing operations Unilever embraces diversity and encourages applicants from all walks of life!
