Scope: Plan, schedule, and control production activities to ensure efficient use of manufacturing resources, optimized line performance, and on‑time delivery of finished goods. The Production Planner ensures all production plans are realistic, capacity‑feasible, and aligned with business priorities — enabling stable and efficient factory operations. It is done through the cooperation with other functional departments, maintaining healthy Inventory with minimum Business Waste, contributing to the best Service level.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
• Develop weekly and monthly production plans based on demand, resource availability, and factory constraints. Coordinate with the scheduler at the factory for daily production plan.
• Create optimized line schedules to reduce changeovers, maximize line efficiency, and ensure balanced line loading.
• Adjust and re‑plan production in response to real‑time events (breakdowns, quality holds, supply delays, urgent orders).
• Coordinate with Manufacturing to confirm labour availability, machine readiness, maintenance schedules before finalizing plans.
2. Capacity & Resource Planning
• Conduct capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and ensure production demand can be met.
• Recommend actions (overtime, shift changes, load balancing) when capacity gaps occur.
• Align with Engineering and Maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and improve planning accuracy.
3. Shopfloor Execution Coordination
• Communicate production schedules clearly to Operations, Line Leaders, Maintenance, and Quality.
• Track daily execution and escalate issues affecting targets or service levels.
• Drive schedule adherence and ensure timely follow‑up on deviations.
• Support root cause analysis for production delays, capacity loss, and low efficiency.
4. Inventory Management
• Understand and manage all inventory related: Cycle stock, Safety stock, Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), Lead time, product Shelf life, etc and optimize each, aligning with Inventory policy.
• Detect and highlight to business about the risk of increase or decrease in inventory such as slow moving or overdue stock or stock shortage for team to take appropriate actions to minimize the impact to Business Waste and Service.
• Conduct cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Manage and make Inventory and Business Waste report, monthly and quarterly.
5. Cross‑Functional Alignment
• Work with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to ensure end‑to‑end planning alignment.
• Participate in S&OE meetings to review production risks and finalize priorities.
• Plan and schedule NPD trials, pilot runs, and seasonal/peak production.
6. Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain production master data and planning parameters in planning systems (SAP ECC/KINAXIS).
• Report key KPIs:
+ Schedule adherence
+ Line efficiency & utilization
+ Production output vs. plan
+ Changeover performance
• Provide insights and corrective actions to improve planning stability.
7. Continuous Improvement
• Identify inefficiencies in planning, scheduling, or execution and implement process improvements.
• Support Lean, waste‑reduction, and productivity initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.

Experiences and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Experience in production planning, manufacturing scheduling, or factory operations (FMCG preferred).
• Good written and verbal English.
• Advanced in Excel and Power Query/BI. Strong in other digital tools is a plus.
• Proficiency in SAP (ECC/APO).
• Strong in Data Analytic and Problem Solving, including Communication and Negotiation.
• Focus on action to deliver results, work hard and be resilient.
• Adapt and learn quickly, able to work under pressure in the diverse environment and rapid changes of FMCG industry.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Able to work independently as well as teamwork.
