As an R&D Process Innovation Scientist, you will be the bridge between formulation science and real-world manufacturing. You’ll transform exciting lab ideas into scalable, robust, and sustainable processes that deliver superior consumer experiences.

You won’t be working in a factory—
👉 You’ll be engineering beauty innovations, collaborating with formulators, pilot plant scientists, and global experts to bring next-gen products to life.

What You Will Do

1. Innovate & Scale Breakthrough Beauty Technologies

• Design and optimize processing routes for new Skin Care & Hair Care formulations.
• Translate lab discoveries into scalable, high-performance processes.
• Lead pilot plant trials, prototype builds, and scale-up runs.

2. Bring Innovation to the Market

• Partner with R&D, Supply Chain, and 3PMs to execute innovation and renovation projects.
• Solve real consumer problems through process redesign and sensory-led improvements.
• Support factory commissioning of new formats, technologies, and equipment.

3. Drive Process Excellence

• Build SEA capability in advanced processes (e.g., emulsification, rheology tuning, heating/cooling operations).
• Use data, digital tools, and automation to optimize performance.
• Lead simplification, waste reduction, and quality-upgrading initiatives.

4. Connect Beauty Rituals to Process Design

• Understand beauty habits and sensorial expectations of SEA consumers.
• Translate these insights into texture, stability, and sensorial improvements driven by process choices.
• Partner with claims teams when process contributes to product superiority.

What You’ll Bring

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemical Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong foundation in unit operations, emulsions, heat transfer, or mixture processing.
• Hands-on experience in pilot plant, R&D, process design, or scale-up.
• Passion for beauty, formulation science, and consumer-led innovation.
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Fluent English; SEA language skills a plus.
• Experience with digital tools (data analytics, modelling, automation) is a plus.
