Job Title- Controls Junior Manager

Location - Bangalore

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Support the delivery of Project Mirai’s S/4HANA risk and controls workstream by assisting in the development, documentation, and operationalisation of integrated control frameworks across business process transformations, system design, and technology enablement.

The Junior Manager will work across functional, market, and technical teams to ensure S/4HANAenabled processes are wellcontrolled, compliant with global policies, and designed with sustainable automation and auditability in mind.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Controls Design & Documentation

·Contribute to documenting end‑to‑end S/4HANA process flows, risk assessments, and associated control requirements.

·Assist in developing SOX, ITGC, and automated control narratives for new S/4HANA solutions.

·Support the creation and maintenance of RACMs, configuration‑based controls, and role‑based access controls.

·Help define ‘controls by design’ requirements during fit‑to‑standard, solution design, and build cycles.

Controls Testing & Quality Assurance

·Perform testing of automated, IT‑dependent manual, and configuration‑based controls in S/4HANA.

·Support test script creation for design and operating effectiveness.

·Gather audit evidence from S/4HANA, GRC tooling, and integrated systems.

·Track remediation items with stakeholders and ensure timely closure.

Stakeholder & Project Coordination

·Collaborate with Markets, the Control Service Centre (CSC), Process Excellence, Technology Product Teams, and System Integrators.

·Help coordinate workshops, training sessions, and walkthroughs related to S/4HANA controls.

·Support issue resolution and control‑related design clarifications during build, test, and hypercare phases.

Pilot, Testing & Deployment Support

·Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring S/4HANA controls pilots across selected markets.

·Document lessons learned, process updates, and impacts to control design.

·Contribute to global control framework refinement ahead of subsequent waves.

Continuous Improvement & Digital Enablement

·Identify opportunities to automate or rationalise controls through S/4HANA standard capabilities, workflow automation, and system configuration.

·Adopt data‑driven methods for testing, leveraging analytics and AI‑enabled audit techniques.

·Support enhancements to GRC tooling, access governance, and system monitoring.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Essential

  • Strong ethics and integrity; role‑model for Unilever’s Code of Business Principles.

  • Foundational knowledge of risk management, internal controls, SOX, or ITGC.

  • Ability to understand and document end‑to‑end processes and risks.

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills; comfortable working with data.

  • Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross‑functional, global teams.

  • Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.

  • Exposure to internal controls, audit, or compliance work.

  • Progress toward certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CIA, CPA.

  • Experience in a multinational or shared service environment.
