Job purpose

This role exists to lead the marketing strategy and execution for Home & Hygiene and Laundry, driving category growth, brand equity improvement, and innovation business cases. This role is pivotal in shaping consumer engagement and delivering outstanding market performance across the business, with a strong focus on embedding a social-first approach that places digital and social platforms at the heart of all communication strategies.

Key responsibilities

·       Develop a holistic view of the Home Care portfolio and ensure our brands lead category growth while pursuing their purpose, achieving both strategic market and financial results with a long-term perspective.

·       Operate with large autonomy to manage categories and projects in cooperation with the Head of Trade Marketing (Customer Strategy & Planning, CSP).

·       Lead the communication strategy shift towards a social-first approach.

·       Own the ATL annual plan and budget for Coccolino, Cif, Lysoform and Svelto for Italy.

·       Monitor the business financial performance in both bottom and top line and propose corrective actions if targets are not met.

·       Support the forecasting process and commercial strategy in partnership with CSP Lead/Team.

·       Take full responsibility for managing a talented marketing team.

Scope of Role

·       Develop the category vision and action plans to lead growth (beyond U brands).

·       Build an effective and holistic ATL + BTL activity plan (from media planning to in-store activities and shelf optimization) in cooperation with Head of Trade Marketing (CSP).

·       Achieve financial targets with full ownership of P&L management and forecasting (from volumes to PBO).

·       Co-responsibility for sell-out performance and market analysis.

Required qualifications

·       7-10 years of experience in marketing (FMCG)

·       Economics academic background

·       Market, Shopper and Consumer understanding

·       Deployment of innovation projects

·       Implementation of Category Business Plan

·       Implementation of Brand Marketing Plan

·       Media planning & spending

·       Strong leadership, entrepreneurial drive, goals orientation

·       People management, ability to work with cross-functional teams

·       Analytical skills, ability to manage complexity

·      Fluency in Italian and English

Preferred qualifications:

·       Trade marketing and Customer Business Development experience is considered a plus.
