Job Title: Procurement Manager - Myanmar

Function: Procurement

Scope: Myanmar

Work Location: Unilever Myanmar Head Office

Key Accountabilities:

Strategy

· Build a deep understanding of the full value chain and conduct industry analysis to define the most effective sourcing models, including value‑chain interventions and should‑cost modelling for alternative solutions.

· Develop and align the Development and Sourcing Strategy with the broader Procurement function to deliver the most cost‑efficient, resilient, and sustainable material solutions for the Myanmar business.

· Drive supplier competitiveness across the value chain, including leadership of global and regional RFQs to ensure optimal cost, quality, and service

· Ensure effective implementation of procurement strategies together with the Head of Supply Chain – Myanmar & 1UL Procurement Lead while collaborating closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, and other relevant stakeholder.

· Serve as the primary procurement business partner for local functions, including Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and others.

· Support the execution of regional and global sourcing strategies at the Myanmar market level to ensure alignment and consistency.

· Deliver key financial targets, including NMI, Cash, and Gross Margin improvements.

· Identify productivity opportunities and drive material optimization initiatives to support business efficiency.

· Manage end‑to‑end supplier performance, covering service, quality, cost, logistics, compliance, and supplier capability development.

· Collaborate with suppliers to enable innovation, enhance supply resilience, and advance sustainability objectives.

· Translate global and regional pricing trends into local market insights, including logistics dynamics, currency impact, and inflation drivers.

· Lead contingency planning and supply risk management, including scenario planning, risk assessments, and crisis‑response actions when required.

· Ensure timely execution of local and regional innovation projects, ensuring supplier readiness and alignment with business timelines.

· Accelerate the sustainable sourcing roadmap, ensuring compliance with Unilever’s responsible sourcing and environmental commitments

Stakeholders Internal

· 1 UL Procurement Lead and Supply Chain team

· Procurement portfolio -directs & capex

· Unilever Procurement leadership team (UPLT)

· Strategy & Insights teams

· Supplier Services in UniOps

· Sustainability/Regulatory teams for all procurement regulations

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

ESSENTIAL

· Masters's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or change management are a plus.

· 10+ years proven experience in procurement or supply chain environment

· Experience on large-scale, complex projects change management projects.

· Has a good understanding of Agile principles, values, methodologies and practices that enable agility and approaches delivery with an iterative and incremental (test - do – learn) approach

· Proven experience of working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment – both F2F and virtual meetings.

PREFERRED Skills

· Experience within an international organization, preferably with multi‑functional exposure in Procurement. Team leadership experience will be an added advantage.

· Strong market understanding, with the ability to anticipate changes and respond quickly through effective vendor strategy and sourcing decisions

· Proven capability in Vendor Performance Management, including evaluation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of supplier performance.

· Excellent cross‑functional collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with internal stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
