Assistant Manager - Customs

Role Purpose

Unilever is a Global Company with operations inalmost everycountry on the Globe. The main purpose of this role is to standardize the calculations and analytics,identifyimprovement areas and prevent financial leakages. 

Key Activities

• Perform HS Classification, verifying SKU classificationin SAP

• Coordinatingwith various stakeholders forData collection

• Perform Value Uplift Calculations

• Perform Origin Calculations using SAP GTS

• Ensure effective operation of the2-tiermodel

• Previousexperience of Customs & Excise is desirable

• Resolve Audit queries

• Review existing processes and suggest improvements

• Leading discussion withstakeholders

• Excellentservice delivery

• Continuous process improvements

StakeholderManagement

• Co-ordinate with CountryFinanceand Customsteam 

• Work withITteam to ensure that tools function asrequired

• Establishing good network with Stakeholders in local Markets andThird-PartyOutsourcedProvider

 TeamAlignment

• Should be a good team player

• Active involvement in team meetings

• Ability to work with Global stakeholders

Key Accountabilities 

• Followlocal Customs requirements.

• Archiving ofdatafrom Brokersin the Data management system as per guidelines provided byTaxteam.

• Provide suggestions for continuous improvement.

• Improve service levels, quality,KPIsand targets.

Qualifications and Experience 

• University Degree in Accounts,Semi QualifiedCAs or CMAs.Degreein Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy isdesirable.

• 4-6years’ experienceinCustoms

• Good knowledge of SAPand SAP GTS

• Ability to work in a team.

• Ability toadapt to changing situations.

• Ability to work with Technology andAutomation.
