Purpose of Job:
As Product Lead forCustomer DevelopmentProgram, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering end-to-end digital solutions that drive Unilever’s enterprise transformationprogram. This role is central to the success ofthe programand encompasses leadership across ERP and adjacent solution tracks.
You willbe responsible forowning the full lifecycle of solution delivery—implementing the harmonized process from system design to deployment—ensuring alignment withProgramprinciples such as clean-core ERP, lean architecture, and scalable, integrated solutions. Your scope spans delivery of solution on the core for critical business processes in customer development, where you will guide the team through transformation while ensuring operational continuity during the duration of the program.
You will be accountable for the delivery of technical and functional solutionsoncore ERPand partnering withsatellite applicationsfor landingthe programfor CustomerDevelopmentarea. You will be required to partner closely with Business product domains (where destination architecture is in place and/or remediation of the layer 1 applications-as required) to co-create scalable, integrated end to end solutions that reflectthe programPrinciples, industry best practices, and lean-core standards. Resolving functional roadblocksthrough hands-on engagement with processowners and delivery teams.
Managing the transitionfrom four legacy SAP ECC systems to a unified ERP platform for the process area.
Ensuring stability, cost-efficiency, and scalabilityof the future application landscape.
Additionally, you will work in close alignment withData, Integration, AI Strategy, and Cloud teamsto shape a future-ready ecosystem that supports Unilever’s digital ambitions and operational excellence.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership
Drive the delivery of digital solutions within Core ERP for Customer Development (CD), as well as end-to-end solutions requiring integration into the CD space. Ensure alignment with destination architecture and the processes defined by Global Process Owners, embedding strategic priorities into every stage of solution delivery.
End-to-End Solution Ownership
Lead the design, build, and deployment of ERP andpartner with Product Domains forsatellite applicationsfor landing end to endsolutions(that areimpactedand in scope for remediation), ensuring seamless integration and transition from legacy SAP ECC systems to a unified ERP.
Process Harmonization & Optimization
Champion standardized, simplified processes that reduce complexity, enhance compliance, and enable innovation across the application landscape.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Process Owners, System Integrators, and Business Product Domain Teams to co-create scalable, clean-core solutions aligned with best practices and business needs.
Technical & Functional Stewardship
Provide decisive, hands-on leadership to resolve functional challenges and ensuretimely, high-quality delivery across integrated applications. Act as the strategic link between businessobjectivesand technology capabilities—translating goals into scalable, low/No-customization solutions in close partnership with Process Owners. Champion informed decision-making through solutions that are lean, future-ready, and aligned with enterprise priorities.
Future-Ready Architecture
Collaborate with Data, Integration, AI Strategy, and ERP Cloud teams to shape a stable, cost-effective, and scalable digital ecosystem aligned withthe programprinciples.
Transformation Leadership
Partner with ProductPartners, SI, Enterprise Architecture to enable ‘To-Be’ application landscape. Own the integrated technology delivery plan across alllifecycle stages—from functional and technical design to implementation and go-live.
Delivery & Governance
Establish clearobjectives, priorities, and deliverables for each release. Drive accountability for quality outcomes and ensure alignment with business goals through close engagement with process owners and stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications
This role demands a blend of strategic foresight, technical acumen, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure that the transformation delivers tangible business value in the Customer Development domain.
15+ yearsof experience across technology and functional roles, with leadership in large-scalecommercial and customer-facing transformation programmes.
ExpertiseinERP implementations(SAP SD/MM, Pricingor equivalent), including configuration, and system integration.
Strong understanding ofUnilever’s Customer Development business model, includingOrder Management, Fulfilment, Customer Service, and Trade Promotion Management, with working knowledge across Procurement, Finance, and Operations.
Proven ability to leadcross-functional teams and System Integratorsthrough design, development, and deployment phases.
Skilled in aligning technical solutions with strategic business goals and driving complex changeacross multiple markets.
Familiarity withUnilever’s enterprise applications, product landscape, andmaster data structuresrelevant to CD processes.
Extensive experience inenterprise applications, integration frameworks, and scalable solution designfor customer-facing processes.
DomainexpertiseinCustomer Development space includingDistribution,Promotions,Order Management, Allocation, Fulfilment and Customer Servicestrong understanding of Distributor led Marketswith a focus on process harmonisation and optimisation.
End-to-end solution delivery ownership across technical and functional domains.
Proficient inproject and programme management within agile environments.
Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Advocate offit-to-standard and lean-core architecture principles.
Knowledgeable in data migration, integration platforms, AI strategy, and cloud ecosystems.
