Title: Senior Manager – Supply & Material Planning Excellence
Location: Bengaluru, India

Background
This role is responsible for executing and deploying best-in-class capabilities across process, organization, and technology implementation in Unilever. Besides leading the Material excellence pillar, this role will also support BG (Home Care) partnering, working together with our partners in Home Care BG to define, action and deliver plan priorities (across full plan scope, from forecast, to supply, analytics and MRP).

The Senior Manager - Supply and Material Planning Excellence will be responsible for contributing to and implementing up and transformation projects in the Supply and Material Planning space. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital technologies and the ability to engage with cross-functional teams. Candidate should have significant track record of impactful technology delivery driven by a deep expertise across supply chain planning & experienced change leader who can build and deploy capabilities to deliver results in a multi-cultural environment.
• Supply planning process excellence – No touch, Inventory Reduction, Controls, Procurement collaborations
• Collaborate and deploy tools in area of material planning, plan – procurement & supply planning.
• Lead implementation of future digital transformation roadmap in supply and material planning and analytics technologies.
• Define Plan priorities with HC BG and ensure OTIF delivery as per target framework (covering amongst others: inventory, service/customer experience, forecasting, and other relevant planning deliverables).

Main purpose of job:
The purpose of this role would be to execute the capability roadmap and the operating model basis technology transformation in the Supply Planning and Material Planning space. Also, within the space of supply planning, you will be responsible for the innovation funnel, liaising with the business to define business cases and solution architecture covering data, process, people and technology.

The person in this role will be required to work very closely with regional MRP excellence, Planners, Supply Planning Excellence along with partnering with SMEs, Consultants, Analysts and Delivery Teams (HAP, Platform, Procurement IT teams).

The person in this role would be in a key position to understand the business requirements, target stakeholders for capability building and map the current operating procedure. Identify pain points and inefficiencies in the current operations and propose unified end to end digital solutions.

Basis the understanding, the person would need to build the framework and new operating procedure required to guide the technical teams’ development of capabilities in the SP & MRP Space. Play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the transformation project lifecycle -

• Engage with markets to ensure adoption of the digital tools and adherence to nominated glidepaths
• Ensure business case delivery for the projects under way
• Train and mentor team members on digital tools and best processes/ practices.
• Monitor and align on the progress across different phases of the projects, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Engage with BG and BU LT (in Home Care) to define agreed roadmap and priorities and see to delivery with wider plan community.

Experience and qualifications required:
• 8 to10 years of experience in Digital transformation projects in Supply chain (Planning/ Procurement).
• Proven experience in SC with a track record of delivering new capabilities and global exposure.
• Project management, Planning experience.
• Leadership experience on end-to-end life cycle of transformation projects.
• Technology acumen: overview of up-and-coming technology stacks in the planning space, both within Unilever and external best tools

Good to have:
• Prior experience in Supplier Collaboration Projects.
• Basic financial skills
• University degree – masters preferred
• Supply chain certification (APICS or similar).
• Holistic experience in Requirement/Data analysis, Data Profiling, Development, Testing, migration, Go Live, BAU support, documentation.
