JOB PURPOSE

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) leads the commercial execution within the Center South region. This role manages Area Managers and Sales Supervisors to ensure the successful implementation of Unilever’s commercial policy, strong distributor relationships, and the achievement of business targets. You’ll be part of a team that believes in doing work that matters — for people and the planet.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial & Sales Management

  • Achieve region sales targets (quantitative & qualitative).
  • Adapt and apply Unilever’s commercial policies to the region.
  • Define commercial actions and customer operations to maximize results.
  • Monitor performance and propose corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Unilever’s promotion, rebate, and credit policies.
  • Participate in developing annual and monthly sales plans.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, evaluate, and coach the sales team to achieve high performance.
  • Set objectives for prospecting, distribution, and merchandising for each team member.
  • Build a culture of accountability, customer focus, and high impact execution.

Market & Business Intelligence

  • Conduct continuous market analysis through the team (wholesalers, retailers, competitors, products, environment).
  • Prepare product and customer reviews to optimize performance.
  • Provide insights and reporting to the Head of Customer Development.

Distributor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regional distributors.
  • Ensure adherence to credit terms and business rules.

Operational Excellence

  • Define and enforce relevant procedures to ensure flawless implementation.
  • Ensure alignment between regional strategies and national commercial priorities.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6-7 years of experience in field sales leadership or related fields.
  • High communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-disciplined and hardworker.
  • Knowledge of MS office programs (Excel, PowerPoint,…)
  • Proficiency in SAP, SAS, and Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in French and Arabic is a must.
  • Team Leadership & People Development skills
